To be honest for a long time I wanted Gjallahorn. I sought after it long and hard after I missed it at Xur. I didn't know at the time that the gun I was searching for is now considered to be the most powerful heavy weapon in the game. I now know that sometimes things need to change in order to create harmony. I personally believe the only way to sort out the indifferences is to take it away, much like a parent takes toys away from kids who fight over them. My opinion may be drown out by hateful comments but here goes nonetheless. I honestly believe that the weapon Gjallahorn should be deleted...removed...made non existent and here are my 5 Reasons why...
1. Gjallahorn has bred an environment of hate and player inequality. Often times players have to beg and plead to get into groups if they don't possess Gjallahorn. This in a Multiplayer game which relies so heavily on cooperation is beyond childish and completely uncalled for. Having Gjallahorn has now granted some diluted individuals to believe that they are better than everyone else who doesn't possess the weapon. Take away this badge and you take away the jerks who insult people and refuse to work together. I honestly believe that the vast majority of people who play Destiny abuse this weapon. A nerf won't cut it. Then you'll definitely not get into anything because you'll definitely need those 6 Gjallahorns to win a Raid to make up for the loss of damage. We as a community do not deserve Gjallahorn.
2. Gjallahorn is promoting a generation of lazy gamers who want all the rewards with as little work as possible. This weapon has single handedly divided the community of Destiny. This weapon is a poison, a disease. Spreading to every corning of the community Gjallahorn will slowly cause more and more damage. The simple fact that people want the game to be easier tells me that they don't want to work for things. Sure Gjallahorn makes boss fights a breeze but that's not what it's about guys. You're supposed to struggle and fight for what you get. That's life! You defeat the purpose of difficulty and teamwork. Which brings me to my next point.
3. Gjallahorn is literally breaking the game. This weapon has single handedly (there's that phrase again) made the game far too easy. It has broken the difficulty setting!!! There is no challenge in using 3-6 Gjallahorns for every fight. It's causing a shift in game fairness as well.
4. Gjallahorn has literally shifted the balance of the entire game. Those who have Gjallahorn, tend to have more powerful weapons that those who don't. Because if you own a Gjallahorn you can complete Raids and Prison of Elders easier, which in turn gives you access to far more powerful loot than others who can't defeat these challenges so easily. This makes things like Iron Banner and even Crucible harder and most times unbalanced.
5. Gjallahorn is creating a cult. Nobody likes cults. Now this weapon has because not only powerful but you have people who worship it like a God. The community has begun judging people who don't have Gjallahorn and make them feel like less of a player. This is unbelievable. You have let a gun determine a person's worth in a video game. This is childish and just not right. Therefore we don't deserve to have it.
Bungie, if you guys see this please know that I am a huge fan but please try and see my points for what they are. They are, of course subject to interpretation. I simply believe that by deleting or removing this weapon is fair. We don't deserve it. We as a community (Not everyone of course) have abused this weapon, become lazy, and have become a band of elitists and cultists. We are judging people's worth by the weapons they have which is unfair. Please make the right decision and take away the weapon we don't deserve. Maybe later we will be worthy of it but in the mean times this gun has become even more powerful than you yourselves. Look at all the petitions if you don't believe me. Soon Gjallahorn will be required to play... and that sadly is not a game or community I want to be a part of. Thanks for everything else though guys.

2 通の返信You are so selfish to say that. Wanna talk real life do ya? Some people have it a lot easier then others and always will it's the way things work. Then you go on to say it's a game to carry on talking about it causing people to feel like less. Really if video games make you feel bad DONT PLAY THEM. If I hated CoD cuz it makes me feel bad I'll find another game. Plus just because you don't have it your whining. And if you wanna talk breaking the game lets talk about black hammer and thorn and.... See where this is going. It's a RNG game some people will flat out have better weapons then others. Just gotta keep farming and enjoy the moments you get something good

Gjally doesn't affect PvP. No reason to delete it. PvE only players are lazy and want to play against non challenging AI. The way to end this debate is anyone who isn't an all around Destiny player who can play PvP and PvE should delete their guardians. Case closed.

2 通の返信Yes ghorn is powerful , but destroying it is wrong. I have 10 pages of friends I play with and have never seen anyone refused entry into a fire team based on not having one, never it's a bs reason to justify screwing with the way we play the game. People have spent thousands of hrs to get this weapon it really a shame bungie has put it on the chopping block.

9 通の返信And now, the tl;dr version.
I honestly believe that the weapon Gjallahorn should be deleted...removed...made non existent and here are my 5 Reasons why... 1. I don't have one & I'm jealous. 2. I'm jealous that I don't have one. 3. I don't have one, so no-one else can have one. 4. It's not fair that Bungie hasn't just given me one. 5. *Indecipherable blubbering*
5 通の返信Counter: 1. I, nor anyone I have ever played with, have never kicked or required a Gjally to play with us. If anything, with the new level increases and increase to damage weapons have, I have broadened my scope and my friends' scope to carry people through raids and such. We have carried people that do no damage to any ads in the game, BECAUSE we had Gjally. If anything, it helped other people who have it. And even when I or any of my buddies didn't have Gjallarhorn, we were never kicked. 2. That is a completely different problem. Needing gjallarhorn won't change people's behavior. That's like saying guns are bad. No, bad people with guns are bad. Guns don't kill people, and a gun in a video game isn't selective on who it plays with. People are STILL going to require 365 weapons and lvl 34 to do the raids. 3. That's Bungie's design flaw. They made bullet sponges instead of actual complex bosses that require mechanics to complete it, beyond the raids and Arena. Some bosses in Arena don't even have a mechanic, or it's the sane mechanics as those bullet sponges. That's poor design, not the rocket launchers problem. For your points 4&5, refer to my first point. I was never held back when I didn't have a gjallarhorn, and I've never made it a requirement, nor has anyone I've ever played with. Points dismantled, Guardian.
