yes its a few minutes long, but worth watching.
Edit: Bernie Sanders just did an event in Arizona that drew over 11,000 people. There's a reason there's no media coverage, its because his message is one of the people and its showing.

12 通の返信heres my problem, Its a classic Keynes vs Hayek, if we didn't save the corporations that are the lifeline of America, by the time natural event take their course and they are replaced this country would be dead. Yes there's a wealth distribution problem but the solution is not stripping the spending power of the top spenders and giving it to the lowest.. The ideal system that has been proven to work for increasing spending power is to reduce taxes and that can only be done by reducing the size of the Government plain and simple. Yet his first point on a solution was all about increasing spending His second point was on green energy, yet he realizes that it is not yet efficient? He is asking for the country to lower its efficieny, what do you think that will do to the economy? Until green energy is more efficient it simply cannot replace the current system. Ok, tax breaks during war time and depression was stupid but at the same time tax breaks are good especially to the wealthy as they spend the most Social security should be completely removed, people should be more responsible for their future. Not to sound mean but what is the benefit of providing for the elderly? Medicare and Medicaid should be cut or let me say to be refined to systems like England and Canada Maybe the wealthy wouldn't leave if they weren't taxed to all hell Yes corporate loop holes need to be tied up. I think he has a very unrealistic view on the way things will pan out, the Government isn't your mommy...she shouldn't take care of you. No the Government should create equal opportunities for success and leave it up to you to decide your future. People shouldn't be punished for their hardwork, the only reason they are part of the "1%" is because they worked hard to get there

1 返信Bernie Sanders is a crazy lunatic and so is anyone who supports him. Free college? Are you shitting me? Taxes are already high enough and community college is already affordable.

4 通の返信Could someone reply so I could watch it later? Since conservatives are getting pissed, I would probably find it interesting.

3 通の返信Considering he wants to make America more like Scandinavia and how their governments work, I am behind him. If anyone wants to see successful government go over to those countries.

19 通の返信Hoggs Bisonにより編集済み: 7/19/2015 2:57:09 AMI'm surprised we haven't seen more backlash to Sanders from the Conservatives and Libertarians here. I mean actual backlash to his policies, not your typical XDC stuff. Unfortunately, I am not consumed with the Libertarian fires of small government and job creators, but I can still give it a shot. Much of Sanders' economic policies are bunk. He relies on rhetoric far more than people realize, and that's probably because they happen to agree with him. Take the first minute of this video: Sanders says that "unemployment is not at 8.2%; real unemployment is closer to 15%". We don't use U-3 numbers because they paint a rosier picture, but because they're a more accurate measure of what we consider employment to be. Calling U-6 numbers the "real" measure is semantic nonsense. This is a simple soundbite made to attract attention, but it's part of a larger issue with Sanders' proposed policies. His idea about funding university tuition with a FTT gets just about everything wrong. When the tax was originally conceived, it was thought of as a way to cool speculation and reduce volatility in markets; when countries adopted it, studies showed the tax actually increased volatility. Capital flight was also a huge problem, and it absolutely would be here. The tax also has no exemptions for 401k's; I wonder how many people would be happy about a tax on their retirements. Finally, the objective of trying to provide free college tuition is itself problematic: this country has a problem with over-education, not with a lack of college grads. Sanders contradicts broad economic consensus on a number of issues. He's fiercely protectionist, but one of the few things economists can agree on is that free trade is good for everyone involved, and studies show that trade does not reduce net unemployment or wages. Yes, that even includes the Evil NAFTA. The $15 minimum wage is viewed as mildly insane even by those who propose an increase, and reform and expansion of the EITC would not incur the same negative effects as an increase in the minimum wage. Corporate taxes should be eliminated, not increased, which would lead to an increase in wages, investment, and saving. Sanders' own economic advisor hails from a school of thought that even New Keynesians laugh at. Talos the mighty! Talos the unerring! Talos the unassailable! To you we give praise! We are but maggots, writhing in the filth of our own corruption! While you have ascended from the dung of mortality, and now walk among the stars! But you were once man! Aye! And as man, you said, "Let me show you the power of Talos Stormcrown, born of the North, where my breath is long winter. I breathe now, in royalty, and reshape this land which is mine. I do this for you, Red Legions, for I love you." Aye, love. Love! Even as man, great Talos cherished us. For he saw in us, in each of us, the future of Skyrim! The future of Tamriel! And there it is, friends! The ugly truth! We are the children of man! Talos is the true god of man! Ascended from flesh, to rule the realm of spirit! The very idea is inconceivable to our Elven overlords! Sharing the heavens with us? With man? Ha! They can barely tolerate our presence on earth! Today, they take away your faith. But what of tomorrow? Do the elves take your homes? Your businesses? Your children? Your very lives? And what does the Empire do? Nothing! Nay, worse than nothing! The Imperial machine enforces the will of the Thalmor! Against its own people! So rise up! Rise up, children of the Empire! Rise up, Stormcloaks! Embrace the word of mighty Talos, he who is both man and Divine! For we are the children of man! And we shall inherit both the heavens and the earth! And we, not the Elves or their toadies, will rule Skyrim! Forever! Terrible and powerful Talos! We, your unworthy servants, give praise! For only through your grace and benevolence may we truly reach enlightenment! And deserve our praise you do, for we are one! Ere you ascended and the Eight became Nine, you walked among us, great Talos, not as god, but as man! Trust in me, Whiterun! Trust in the words of Heimskr! For I am the chosen of Talos! I alone have been anointed by the Ninth to spread his holy word!
