You kids sicken me. It's so annoying that we have to see desperate players whining and crying over what developers of the game decide to do. Let's go over all the recent news.
Hand Cannons
Bye bye scrubby players. Sorry you're going to cry that your Thorn and Last Words will be balanced. It's pathetic seeing how much criticism this has gotten. Are you five? Thorn was overpowered. The Last Word too. But none of you seemed to care that the Vex has been nerfed into the ground. Nobody cared that Suros was basically taken out of the game. It's because you trashy players rely on Thorn and TLW to have any hope of getting kills. I hope you Thorn Cruicibabies keep playing Destiny, as you will have no hope of going positive after this update. For anyone saying: "There will just be another Meta weapon after Thorn is gone." No. There will never be another Thorn. Thorn's RoF is matched only by TLW (Fanfire), and its impact, range, and stability exceed any other weapon. Thorn allows for a 2 shot headshot with its high RoF or 2 slow paced body shots. Thorn's MoD takes you out of the fight for 6-9 seconds, allowing players using thorn to have their health back to full while you're still burning. An arc or fire bolt, or anything really will end you at that point. There will never be a weapon as overpowered as Thorn. So I'm glad it's getting nerfed.
Auto Rifles/Scout Rifles
Yay! Finally they become relevant. Looking at how hand cannons are now, autos never needed a Nerf. Good move by Bungie getting them back up to par. Especially with Necrochasm. It's good seeing fast shooting scout rifles getting a boost as well!
Shotguns
Yet again, a huge blow to bad players with no gun skill. Good luck continuing to blink with a Felwinters one shotting from 40 feet away. Shotguns were getting stupid in this game, good move Bungie. Shotguns shouldn't be getting nerfed in PvE however..
Final Round on Snipers
Ahh, the third thing to the bad player trio. Kids hitting pinky toes in ToO with their Final Round Ephrideets thinking they have gun skill.. No. You're just a bad player random exploiting b*tch tactics. Think you're a good player using Hand cannons, Shotguns, and FR Snipers? You're not. You have no gun skill. You have my regards when this patch releases and your KD's go from a 1.2 to a 0.4 again. Mine will be right up at 2.1 still. For everyone saying "Final Round will be useless." It will be PvE based. It'll be good against bosses. But if all else fails, use the million motes of light obtained per week and re roll it. Stop crying.
Xur
Who said Xur had to sell a weapon?
Actually, who said he had to sell anything?
Xur is a joke. Why make an RNG game if he's literally sold almost everything? Playing ONLY the weekly heroic every week will have gotten you 91% of the exotics up until this point. That is ridiculous. Xur should have had the same 3 weapons, and 3 pieces of armor (per class) on rotation and nothing else. This gives players a start, but making them have to earn stuff as well. On top of that, most of the time Xur sells gear better than the ones you attain (eg. I got Feedback Fences with 44 Intellect 56 Strength and Xur sold ones a lot better).
Gjallarhorn
Edited: A lot of people voicing that they've beaten Atheon without Gally. So I'm making it more clear. Gjallarhorn is a clutch weapon. It makes raid bosses, strike bosses, PvP.. Ect way too easy. It splits the community. Hell, I see people still asking for Gjallarhorn's for Hard Crota. Seriously? It's the Dependance, like with Thorn.
Ice Breaker/Black Hammer/Fusion Rifles
These weapons didn't need nerfing at all. Bungie's only true mistake in the weapon balancing. But I expect these changes to be reversed.

12 通の返信Insulting people, calling them "scrubs" ect is a reflection of your self more then those you project it on. Yes I have thorns, gallys ect. I worked hard to get my gear like many fellow guardians, if I have thorn and my opponent has thorn in pvp how is this unfair I don't understand. That's because it isn't, truth is there is a much bigger issue here, bungies incapability of balancing guns. Thorn should be the best hand cannon as gally should be best rocket launcher. Both are difficult to earn and so when you achieve them, it's your right to use it to the full extent. Why should one be penalised for putting in the hours to obtain such guns? Ideology bungie would want to project is "more you put in, more you get out of it" but with this so called balancing there simply brushing the guardians who worked hard, gave up a year of their lives to achieve such weapons penalising them for working to hard and earning their rewards. It's much more deeper then just weapons imbalance but the lack of respect and apparent disregard for the most loyal players, from the dlc screw over to the countless screw ups over the past year punishing the most loyal. This is the line where bungie either accommodate the new guardians and cater to their needs, or reward the old loyal guardians who grafted hard to make destiny the game it is today. Iam set to leave on black ops 3 release and so I don't care but keep it classy, be the light in the dark guardian and best of luck

4 通の返信SketchSkirmishにより編集済み: 7/23/2015 6:48:55 PMDesperate you say? Not so. In fact, I'll continue to play regardless of the balances and imbalances. I do not rely on Thorn, nor do I rely on TLW. In fact, Hand Cannons already suffer to perform in competition with other weapons. Thorn and TLW were exceptions, but try combating The Stranger's Rifle or Three Little Words using a legendary HC (Fatebringer withstanding). The TTK only rewards the skillful and by skillful, I mean lucky. HCs kick like mules by default, and any attempt at rapid fire essentially makes it blind firing. This new change is removing the HCs ability to operate at range, limiting them to high threat engagements against higher RoF weapons. While this may be the intended role, their small magazines and long reload time make them unfavorable for multiple target engagements (Specifically PvE situations). So, after this change, they will still be viable in combat, but at threat ranges where other choices are far more viable. This will, in turn, make HCs bottom of the food chain again. The logical fix is to apply their intended changes and improve reload speed or ammo reserves to be more conducive to a high threat, high speed, and high skill engagement. The other changes I can ignore or agree with. Some are unnecessary and are seen as the developer trying to force players to enjoy their game in a very specific way. While balance and fairness should always be kept in mind, making changes that impact a large player base for the sake of preventing an intended method of play seems silly. Luckily, in time, the community will grow to accept a majority of them and the TTK newbies will have never known the difference. I still think this game is going to see a major balance shift post 2.0 and a 2.2.2 will be a guaranteed change about two months after TTK release. Some of the foreseen problems are being discussed in the community and it is the job of Cosmo, DeeJ, and all the community managers to pick and choose their battles. Showing some flexibility and understanding goes a long way in the entertainment industry especially in retaining long time fans/customers.

2 通の返信They (shotties) wouldn't be an issue... If the maps were bigger. And gally a crutch? More like the fast forward button on the same shit those of us playing since launch have killed day in and day out. Eh on handcannons though thorn and the glitched tlw were the only real issues in that class. Icebreaker... Dumbest nerf ever next to gally. I can understand both sides of the Blackhammer nerf, we all know that the current white nail perk is more for an exotic. Hell they could combine the current white nail perk on to oh say NLB for example?

8 通の返信Disagree about the whole xür thing. I wouldn't give a damn if he sold everything or not if you actually earned anything, but you don't.
-
2 通の返信I agree with everything except GHorn is not OP in PVP. You have to keep distance like any launcher, when you actually get a hit with a rocket, someone dies. The wolf pack rounds never really get a chance to actually attack someone.
-
1 返信Agreed. Only thing i don't like on the handcannon nerf is the magazine reduction.

1 返信I think I can agree with everything you said. I would add that I have never been vetted for a Gally. Maybe a fully upgraded 2 in the tube tracking rocket launcher for hard Crota, especially as a 31. However that should have been expected, and hunger did just fine. I would say that bungee still needs to pick up the quality and meet their potential. There is competition around the corner all the time. A good read in the high rated about PVP match making, kill trading, lag, touches on thorn.

2 通の返信Don't disagree with the Thorn and last word nerf. I do disagree with the magazine reduction. My fulcrum and her mercy have 8 rounds, even TLW ONLY HAS 8. Seriously bungie needs to stop vanilla nerfs, if they wanted all hand canons to start with 8, OK, but just reducing all hand canon size is the generic auto rifle nerf all over again. Like the shot gun buff, where bungie seperated pve from pvp, final round snipers should not have any pve adjustment. All the complaints, rightfully so, are from crucible players. Make the change in pvp only. Fast fire scout rifles will take over crucible. I am already seeing (this past IB) a good portion of players using them with great success. Of course I'm not using Thorn, but rather a pulse rifle of some kind, so that could be why I'm seeing them be so successful. Gjallarhorn is OP on old game content but not in 35 POE (which is currently the only end have above or rank). It will only take a yellow bar over shield captain down to 3/4 health with one rocket. A better solution for exclusion would be in game match making IMO.

3 通の返信Black hammer did. I mean infinite ammo on a legendary!? It was: nerf it or ascend it to exotic status. Nerfing it was the best choice IMO because now they can introduce an exotic with the replenish full magazine with magically created ammo perk.

4 通の返信Thorn definitely needs a nerf. Getting tired of being killed from 100 meters away like a sniper. Ridiculous. I have one and won't use it.

2 通の返信I agree with most of everything you said except the gally nerf. Yes a LOT of people use it but only because its the best and mostly only viable option, wanna use your pro skills and get close to the boss with your shotgun? To bad all bosses have an aoe effect which will instantly almost kill you if your at full health. Wanna lay down constant fire with your primary weapons? Well its gonna take a long time to kill the boss plus the boss will constantly make you return to cover because all bosses have a really strong long ranged attack. What does that leave you to do you ask, well fusion rifles don't do very much damage and are mainly for ad control, sniper rifles are a good option but bungie is nerfing the best ones so now that option is less effective. Man these boss fights would sure be faster if I had a weapon that could deal a lot of damage in an instant and allow me to take cover from the boss while I reload, oh wait we have rocket launchers and bungie is nerfing the best one. I wish more of the pro gally nerf people would stop calling everyone who complains about it a noob who has no skill, most people like me just use it to make the grind less real. :l

2 通の返信You didn't even mention the fusion rifle nerf!!!! SERIOUSLY WHATS THE POINT IN MAKING FUSIONS EVEN MORE GARABGE??!

14 通の返信I only use the Last Word because I love the way it handles and looks. Not to have an advantage. Hand cannons take a skill to use. Specifically that one because of the rapid fire. And yes I agree auto and scouts now have relevance again. I just received the mytho and love it. Just needs more power. I hope the new balance doesn't affect us too roughly and is a better balance. Also cheers for the Hawkmoon coming Xbox side.

1 返信I agree with everything you said except about hand canons. Well not except because the Thorn and TLW greatly, greatly needed fixing. I just dislike blanket changing all hand canons as their answer. Similar mistake with ARs. All they really needed to do was fix their range and high impact ARs. Instead, blanket nerf all of them into oblivion. I'm worried this same move will push hand canons into 8 months of minimal use. Lastly, I agree about Gjallahorn but I feel it will make kids more exclusive when making groups via LFG sites.

1 返信Agree with everything but you didn't mention hawk moon I think with adding 2 more bullets to the chamber add an extra lucky bullet but I agree with the no triple stack 1 hit kill being removed for PVp but not pve...

3 通の返信Well said. Sick of shotguns ruining mid range fights and thorn running rampant in trials. It's all that is top competitive right now. Last word is very close behind. But thorn does every thing well. Except for 4 out of 12 times, I went to the lighthouse using exclusively thorn. One week the vex and the 3 other times using last word. Happy there are getting balanced.

2 通の返信atabeiにより編集済み: 8/3/2015 9:17:45 PMIma still use Thorn after tuning. Ima still wreck wi5h this Gun mate. It has good rate of fire and range. Interested to see what tuning does. Take out Mark of the Devourer in PvP also Final round but permit these OP reaper specials in PvE. I like using the Thorn on sliding one shot shotgun users personally no remorse in that department.
