Nope.
They really added very little for 40 dollars.
This smells like a 20 dollar dlc than anything else. Especially with how much content is repeated, and going through same areas just different directions and then sometimes you go into a new area because there isn't a door blocking it anymore.
The only way it makes it worth it is the time invested but that is ONLY because of how much of a grind there is and how much time is put in doing bounties, daily missions, getting materials, leveling up gear and trying to get new weapons and armour, etc...
Again the only reason it's worth 40 dollars is because of the grinding bungie puts up to block overly quick progress.
Imagine if there was trading, people would not play this game nearly as long.
Given exactly the amount of missions, gear, etc that ttk added or replaced your basically paying for
2/3rds the vanilla game for
1/3rd the content.
As in you got ripped off.
Yes. I do think that this should have been the game at launch minus wiping nightfalls, old strikes, and past raids from the books. I do think that there is a lot of "vanilla" within TTK.
I hate that TTK changed the game as much as it did, but it's changes do indeed reflect the value. It's worth the $40 because it throws out nearly all of year one (which I am very much against and don't agree with) and the game is completely different.
i spend a lot of time in this game and have fun. i played it since its release and even gave 1-2 months breaks when i did all content.
i plan to have fun again, so yea 40 bucks a Possible year is worth it.
there are worse money trap games , such as fifa if you are playin ultimate team. its not a must but people spend waaaay more money on that.
So basically the main gameplay I'd say is worth 20$ like HoW and DB, and basically 20$ more for the subclasses, I mean the're cool, but that should be 5$. In my opinion. No, TTK is not worth 40$ to me
