Making the switch from the One to PS4.
I'm really going to hate doing this grind all over again ,but I'm tired of missing out on content. Was always a PS player until the One came out. Anybody else make the switch? Just interested in seeing how many ppl moved over. This is not any console war BS. Please refrain from making this thread that way.
Edit: Any console dissing means you will be Muted. Urge commenters in the post to ignore these types of posts. Both systems are great in their own right. I'm moving to PS4 for Destiny.
Edit 2: Never thought this thread would get this big. Some ppl are switching to the One. All I got to say is...Whatever makes you happy system wise...do it. Both are great. Trolls are being muted as I come across their posts.

I made the switch right before TDB came out, best move I made. Although I really miss all the original guns and equip etc. The grind and luck with drops was horrendous for me the second time around, but the fresh start kinda gave the game a little nice reason to play again

I've always been PS ever since the Xbox first came out. Mainly the looks that sold it for me. As for you making the switch. If you're looking for any teams weather if be crucible or Raids, hit me up on the name above. A few of us get together and have a laugh! :)

Well if you want someone to play with just send me a friends request, I could always use more people to play with. Destiny has always felt like a game where you need people to enjoy it lol. PSN: Darth Sliver I am not sure if it tells you my PSN if you click my profile lol

I liked the controls on PS4, but might have an issue with the controller in PvP (personally I feel the XB controller is better for FPS). I could not see starting over on either system for a few exclusives you will get in time anyway. This is just my opinion. If you prefer PSx controllers, good for you. If you have the time and don't mind the ridiculous grind to get everything again, including the possibility XB users may have some or all of the PS4 exclusive weapons before you...go for it.

The exclusives aren't great, and Xbox is getting HawkAWESOME soon. Seems pretty silly unless you have a bunch of friends on PSN or something. Also, screw starting the grind over completely. There's no fkn way I'd do that for a couple strikes and weapons.

4 通の返信I don't know why you're switching because the Xbox community is far superior. If you wanted a system for the specs you would get a PC. You buy a console for the community that comes along with gameplay. Pretty soon Hawkmoon and all the exclusive missions will be available to XB1 anyways.

1 返信The content is only "exclusive" for a year, which is 10 months in already. They aren't crucial, and most of them I haven't run more than once or twice... If that is the sole reason you are switching, I wouldn't bother. Just my two cents as a lifelong PS player. If you want both consoles, or have more friends on PS, those are better reasons. The content alone wouldn't be worth it IMO. I've been playing since day 1 and haven't dropped an exclusive PS weapon.

3 通の返信Why the hell would you ever switch to the xbox..if u were a ps player always the xbox one was by far the worst one you could have chose to switch on..After all that bullshit they tried pulling at release and you still thought it was a good idea to support them? LOL... anyways my brother n law switched from xbox to ps4 back around xmas time and he has never regretted the decision.. the way the game is anymore it won't take that long at all to get max level

I have both and play Destiny on both, and to be honest the content difference isn't that big of a deal. Waiting a year is a little excessive, but having used both I wouldn't make a move one way or the other if I were in the position. I bought both for exclusives only. I have destiny on both because I initially had the XB1 and then found the Ghost Edition REALLY cheap for PS4 (wanted the ghost collectible) so I loaded it up and started playing while I wait for TTK for my XB1. Can't say I would buy PS4 just for Destiny and the DLC's but that's just me. But if you can keep both, I would. Both have great exclusives and well worth it. The Last of us is awesome on the PS4 and of course Halo for the XB1.

The Xbox works better as a centerpiece for the living room...running your cable box through it, which is really well done if you've used it...and it just feels like an entertainment hub that is also a B+ gaming console. Not to mention that Microsoft has made huge leaps since release. Backwards compatibility and Windows 10 streaming(which is Bad.Ass. by the way) are big deals. The PS4 is a gaming console, full stop. It offers a better, streamlined interface, and is clearly the powerhouse hardware-wise. Mine is in my bedroom, and is reserved for exclusives or games I can't play in front of my kiddo. At this point in the console cycle, you can't really go wrong with either one. Both have lots of upside and very little down. Both have come to a reasonable price, both are legit gaming platforms, and it really comes to preference now, which is how it should be. I understand Xbox users(including myself) being mildly saltish about exclusives, but I just look at it as TTK being an even bigger content drop.

2 通の返信Are you trading in the console?? If so I'd have to call you negative things. As an owner of all three latest consoles, Xbox one being my first, I don't regret any of them. Ps4 is my most recent (being last week with the arkham knight edition) is my least favorite right now tbh because everyone was raving about the graphics and I honestly don't see a difference on my tv. Do you really want to be responsible for the three profiles you have to play PoE, trials, and weeklies/NFs every week PLUS starting a 4th from scratch on a new system with a different friend list to help (if you even have psn friends that play it). Just seems like a waste of money for a few extra guns/missions especially with the game storm coming in fall

1 返信I am not sure that it is worth it JUST for the exclusive content. Now, if you are buying for other content (Bloodborne, etc.) that is a different story.
