You didn't open the big chest did you? Anyhow beating Skolas without a key is pointless (unless you want an elder cipher) the big chest gives you a shader (The Queen's Web) a ship (Hildian Seeker) and an emblem (Kellbreaker) and a very high chance of an exotic.
