Alright, the "gay rights decision" is long gone, no need to make a "pride shader" about it.

I'm just gonna post this sonner rather than later: We do not need a "gay/pride" shader/class/item. We know that historic moment where gay marriage was legalized, cool. But days have passed, and it's over. Let's focus our attention elsewhere. The gay rights decision was a political event. Now I don't want someone coming onto Destiny and finding something offending to them, and then another person gets happy and feels promoted, perhaps special. But let's get the point straight: It's nothing special. It used to be on that historic day, but it's over, out of sight and out of mind just like everything else. No need for attention. I realize some people's excitement, but other people find Destiny a place to escape the real world and entertain themselves.
TLDR: Real worlds and virtual worlds don't mix well. Destiny is meant to entertain not to inform people of political/disputed topics and issues.
Some logical thinking here:
1)Don't call out the person, your attention is on the issue at hand in most cases.
2)Use FACTS, not sympathetic placeholders.
3)Be bold to back down and say you're wrong, admit things and don't be a coward.

55 通の返信First of all the gay rights decision isn't "long gone". It just happened like a week ago. Secondly I think it's great that Bungie is considering adding in something to support that decision. If the Bungie studio feels strongly about it they should be able to do it without having to worry about offending unnecessarily aggressive homophobes. Bungie did the Nepal donation promo when they needed disaster relief and no one complained about that one bit. Id respect Bungie for being one of the few game developers brave enough to actually take a stand in an important issue like this. To spark a change in a country's way of thinking you first have to change your own way of thinking. End the cycle of bigotry and whatnot. Im not saying a shader is going to do that but its a nice sentiment. If its that big of a deal they can make it an optional promo for people in my opinion. At the same side of the spectrum i would understand if Bungie did decide to do nothing in honor of the decision because at the end of the day they are a business and need to think about how it would affect their profits if they had thousands of homophobic, angry, redneck, bigots on their hands. All i can really say is that bungie should do whats right in their own eyes. A lot of people fought a long hard battle to finally get the rights they deserved and to honor that would be incredible. . but the main thing Bungie REALLY needs to do without a shadow of a doubt is nerf the Thorn in PvP. . i mean really. . thats a no-brainer (homophobe or not)..

I hate them because they whine more than the people on these forums and are so so offended that they have to drive another block for a cake. The fact someone doesn't agree with being gay must mean that said person is a [url=http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law]-godwinslaw!-[/url], a hitter worshiper and endorses slavery. What's worst, is that they want their opinion respected, when they can't respect the opposing opinions. I've met 1 gay person who was reasonable and not acting like a bitch about how badly he was being "oppressed". That guy was awesome. All the rest fell into this stereotype perfectly. Edit: oh.. That's banned word.. Hm.

Gays arent special snowflakes( but they all seem to think they are) and dont deserve something special from this game. Go celebrate outside of fake video games designed to get away from reality. Congrats on your victory but you wanted equality well here you have it. Get used to getting nothing like the rest of us. I will acknowledge you, I will tolerate you, and even if I believe your lifestyle is wrong I will not use force against you. But if your actions include insulting a religion simply out of spite, then quite frankly I have no further patience for you. Edit: Also, what the -blam!-ing hell is this post doing here, wrong section.

I highly doubt that in the distant future Eva Levante would care enough about an ancient political decision on another continent to make a shader referencing it. Surely we can all accept that Destiny is set so far in the future that such petty worries would have been set aside? Do we really think that the citizens of the City care about such things now anyway? It's not like they adhere to any of these ancient religions - they quite clearly carry out practises best defined as "Traveller worship"... and I doubt that the Traveller cares so much about Guardian relationships as it does about self preservation and continuing to fight. ------- That aside, I see no problem with a casual rainbow emblem appearing in game - rainbows after all remind us of the way the [b]light[/b] splits. They call forth ideas about new beginnings, light after turmoil, and hope. I'm sure that the Speaker would consider a rainbow under the Traveller to be auspicious.

Everybody has a right to be who they are regardless of skin color, gender, sexual orientation, etc. Nobody, and I mean [b]nobody[/b], has the right to insult people because of that. BTW I'm straight and I'm proud to say that I support LGBT and was in the Pride Parade in Canada this year. How many of you can say that without being trolls, bigots, racists, or extemely prejudice Christians? I'll be waiting for the replies.

5 通の返信If they do this, then it is only fair and in the interests of this new equality push is that I would like a Jesus shader. I think that this whole thing of if you aren't gay or don't support gay then you are a biggot. Same could be said on the reverse. You want me to empathic with your position then you must empathize with mine. If not it's simply called HYPOCRACY!
