I can take a thorn 1v1 a lot of the time. The only thing that sucks is when two players are using thorn and shoot you simultaneously the two shots land, health down to red, and you have no shot at surviving because the dots stack.
That being said, even when that happens I know it was my fault because I wandered into a hot spot without thinking and I'd prolly die regardless of the gun they're using.

If trials has taught us anything it's to be cautious. Everyone runs around aimlessly with shotguns and thorn blinking around without any real plan. It should be easier because you know what others are using not harder because you refuse to accept it and adapt.
