Halo 5 is getting 20 free DLC multiplayer maps. Did I say free!

Dear BUNGIE. Have a seat or 343 will kick your @$$

4 通の返信I guess that makes up for that miserable flop of a game they called MCC, you know that game that packaged all of Bungie's work into one game and sold it as a $60 AAA title. That game didn't work at all, 20 free maps is the least they could do.

1 返信Spawn_oskにより編集済み: 6/23/2015 8:07:42 PMIf you ain't prepared to pay $1,000 for the 10 years of on-going gameplay my advice to y'all is to leave now and come back in 10 years and buy it for $80.

4 通の返信Anyone notice that whenever bungie does anything nowadays its always a controversy? Lol

9 通の返信"Halo 4 was shit" Uhhhh no not really lol The multiplayer was a little bland yeah but the continuation of the story was fantastic, and the twist in Spartan Ops even better. So what does 343 do? Commit themselves to making sure multiplayer holds its own, and from what I've seen with the Warfare mode it does. Halo is one of the only, if not THE only, triple A FPS titles out there that still cares about its campaign and outstanding lore, which will always give it an edge. You may not have -liked- Halo 4's multiplayer, but it most certainly wasn't "pure shit" Piss off with your exaggerations. Can't wait for Halo 5

4 通の返信So people aren't happy to pay £40 for an expansion but are happy to pay for micro transactions? IMO it's micro transactions that ruin gaming! (Aware this was not OPs post, but people are defending micro transactions throughout this thread, micro transactions are a scourge.)

1 返信So is forge a thing still? If not they're replacing the community maps with 20 free maps like halo always did and telling you they're free till they drop the real dlc content.

15 通の返信Has anyone considered that Activision is probably the reason behind all the pricing and that Bungie has no choice but to follow suit or lose the rights to Destiny? Much like they are why we PS owners get to laugh at xbox owners while we polish our hawkmoons..

Played halo 4 for the first time last weekend via MCC (Only Lan pvp). The controls felt cluncky, movement seemed sluggish, & weapon handling was 2nd rate. No regrets switching to ps4 & destiny from Xbox 360 & from halo/COD to Destiny. Disclaimer: Halo 2 is my fav game of all time. I've played all COD from WaW through Ghosts to top level top prestige.

1 返信It's all a joke honestly. The 20 maps most likely already exist, so why not put them in there at the start. I love video games (obviously lol), but all these game companies have found ways to charge us around $100 for the full game. I can't even finish a god damn story for a game with just the base copy. That's like taking away the last 2 worlds of Mario and getting charged to beat the game. We don't take a stand together anymore, we bicker against ourselves. While we do that, game companies continue to pump out dlc after dlc so we can have closure. Unfortunately, we're in a bind. I'll keep buying dlc because I need to know what happens. In the end, it's all bullshit blah blah blah. No need to tell me I'm salty or whiny- I'm already well aware lol

Game companies have always taken one of two approaches to extending the life of games. Activision has always chosen to charge a premium for everything and earn their money that way. 343 is taking the Rockstar approach, which is to get the game into the hands of players and keep it there (stopping them from trading it away) by promising more to come at no charge. That's the reason why GTA 5 sells so many copies - people aren't as quick to trade it because it represents a source of potential new content down the road, for free. Obviously both methods work, but Activision's has certain pitfalls, like the one we saw recently when they get greedy.

9 通の返信My $40 is going towards the purchase of Halo 5. Bungie used this same "trick" back in Halo 3 when everyone bought all the up-to-date DLC and Bungie turned around and RESOLD them the same DLC in the HALO:ODST disc for another $60. Want this very new and different product we're selling? Worth 20 bucks right? Lets add crap on you already bought and increase sale price by 300% Then let's pretend like we're targetting new players when really we're fishhooking the wallet in your back pocket. The moment the players started double-taking at the prices set for a game who's content has been controversial, mostly about how much they're "keeping away from us" rather than "giving to us" since day one, was the moment they -blam!-ed up. We the consumer enjoy the game and would like to actually see the story go somewhere awesome, but, they're charging us the full price of a pizza for only a slice. If you want extra cheese, you have to also get 3 more toppings and they'll charge you for the full price of two pizzas instead. Im sad to say I've been playing the game so little lately... It's like going to the refrigerator to get food only to find there's nothing good in there. But for some reason you come back 10 mins lately hoping something magically appeared. All these food analogies are making me hungry. Long story short... I think I'm going to sprinkle my salt on something worth bitćhing about, because complaining in your feedback forums yields 75% promises and 0% results.

1 返信And I'm sure they have some diversity, unlike the 8 maps we have here that are all pretty much the same, with access limited to only 3 or 4 maps per mode. I'm guessing they'll have more than basically 2 modes, too. I hate Halo, but that really makes you realize how poor we are in terms of diversity.

1 返信343 had already confirmed Free DLC maps not just yesterday. Ya twit They didn't pour shit because Halo is old news
