Christianity is NOT a religion of peace
I lol every time someone tries to tell me that. The link above shows just a few of the many horrible acts committed in the name of Christianity, including:
- The Crusades
- The Witch hunts
- Slavery
- The KKK
- The torture of non-believers
If you want to be a christian, that's fine, but don't pretend that your religion is all "peace and love".

1 返信I'm all against organized religion, though I have to disagree. Its the fact that people use the name of Christianity to do these horrible acts. Normally the religion isn't violent, it even says not to force your beliefs upon others. Though some Christians seem to not follow that.

1 返信Just because someone who calls themselves a Christian does something terrible doesn't mean the whole religion is like that. Isn't that what we always hear about Muslim terrorists? "They're just extremists, you can't judge the whole religion by them".

1 返信The Salem Witch Hunts was a dark page in our nations history, everybody looking to burn everybody. But we learned from our mistake and, heck, I don't see people running around trying to burn people anymore. But that doesn't mean that stuff like that is nonexistent.

17 通の返信All of these Christians defending their religion of [i]peace[/i] by saying "anyone can bastardize a religion," then at the same time turn around and call Islam a religion a hate and violence lol. Maybe Christianity is a religion of hypocrites.

1 返信That's awful. But its not fair to say that I as a Christian will go and murder senselessly with the help of my tortured slaves. Yes bad things were done in the name of God, but now we can learn to keep things like that happening again.

Like you said in the name of Christianity meaning not Christianity itself. Just because people from that religion did something in the name of it doesn't make it to where you can blame the entire religion. That would be like me saying all Muslims are terrorist just because of the some Muslims doing wrong things in the name of their religion. It wouldn't be correct to say that. La Castaña!!!!

Those people were taking the bible and using bits of it to justify what they were doing even though the bible in full context clearly states that it was wrong. Those people were not following the bible or God. Just following their own selfish ego. Not everyone who claims he/she is christian is actually a christian. Merely believing in the God of the bible is not enough. James 2:19 "...Even the demons believe-and shudder!"
