Varen set T down at camp, gripping his new Auto Rifle. "We'll fix you later. I'm gonna gather the rest." He began to run towards the place of the landing. Walking the old streets, Varen couldn't help but admire the buildings, staring at the architecture. They had a very different idea of beauty.. Have we changed so much?

Perking up a moment, the huntress listens overhead, catching the distinct sound of a Fallen Skiff overhead. Leaning back against a large patch of rubble containing bits of the roof, she steadies her modified Icebreaker out the window. As the sound fades with the transport, she tightens her grip on the weapon as the sound of heavy footsteps echo through the abandoned block. ...That sounds like a... Cabal? On Earth..?" She murmurs with surprise. How could the Cabal be on Earth? Wouldn't this have thrown up a red flag somewhere? Shaking her head to clear the unnecessary thoughts, her eyes narrow as she waits, the single wide-aperture lens whrring faintly as it changes it's focus. As the echoing footsteps grow louder, two figures come into view, seemingly patrolling. One obviously a Cabal, but... they are accompanied by a Fallen Captain? Their bodies are muted grays and blacks, accented by a faint, blue glow. Their faces seeming to have lost all definition and instead replaced by a swirling vortex of blue light. They wield... truly unknown weapons, the Cabal carrying what can only be described as a black obelisk as the pair scan the streets. Something tugs at the huntress's chest. Something tells her this is incredibly wrong about the two. Even the unknown of deep space hasn't unsettled here like this. Whatever it is, the Vanguard, and especially Ikora will need to hear of this. Her finger quivers on the trigger as she watches the unnatural creatures. "What... What in the seven hells..." She murmurs worriedly.
-
Varen caught the noise, ducking behind a pillar as he snapped to reality. He saw the two unknown figures, staring in amazement. "What.." He slowly made his way up, attempting not to catch the attention of the odd things, while observing. He raised his head, before quickly ducking, slowly checking his rifle, cringing as he snapped the clip back into its position.

In a hushed whisper, Kitt bids Spark, her ghost, to start a recording of the situation. Giving nearly half a minute of simply watching the unnatural pair. With a soft sigh to steady her nerves, she trains the Icebreaker's reticle over the Captain's head. With a steady pull, the rifle screeches out in it's unique call, the shot flying true as it lands squarely in the centre of the creature's head. Darkened matter blasts out from the opposite end of the creatures' skull before seemingly turning to ash. There is no stagger. There is no flinch. As the shot passes through and slams into the paved road beyond, the hole is obvious. The creature, alongside it's ally pauses in their patrol. Simultaneously they both turn their heads directly towards the huntress, their gaze filling her with a cold dread. "..." As steadily and unerring as they had moved, the Cabal trains the strange weapon to aim at the building, a blue swirl of collected energy beginning to form at the end of it's barrel. That... That can't be good... she thinks before quickly beginning to move from her roost, scrambling back to a further part of the house until she knows what such a weapon can do. I wonder how long it take to char- Her self-imposed question is quickly answered as the weapon fires it's collected energy. The projectile lumbers towards the window before impacting. The energy seems to implode on intself, dragging bits of the building with it before erupting outard with a muted, warbling, earth-shaking explosion. The enegy of the shot crumbles the polycrete around the impact, nearly destroying the entire third floor wall facing the road, the heat glasses the material closest to the impact, leaving a melded, white-hot impact crater from it's shot.
-
Hearing the shot, Varen stood and watched the scene. "What in the hell?!" He raised his rifle. The time for stealth was over. He fired a full round into the Cabal, hoping to slow, or stop it, at least buy the other Guardian time. He began to run, cover to cover, working his way to the building as he screamed, "Anyone inside! Get out! I've got your back, but only for so long!.. By the Light, these things are odd.. I've got a camp, few clicks out! Go and get!" He snapped another clip into the rifle, before fleeing away from the building, firing all the while, throwing Magnetic Grenades as well. "Come on, you Dark bastards! Come and get me!"
-
The dark Fallen turn to meet the new guardian. It charges forward with an unnerving silence, firing off a strange weapon that seems to act like a cross between a shock rifle and hive shredder. The thing walks its fire across the cover of the new guardian aim surprisingly precise for a supposed creature of the dark. The Cabal begins to charge it's weapon as countless Icebreaker shots cry out from the heavily damaged multi-floor building, the sound of a scout rifle cracking out between the exotic's recharge time. Nearly each shot lands somewhere on the cabal, chinking away at the creature's body. Each shot turns some of the cabal to ash, yet it continues as if nothing had happened.
-
Varen hid, crouching against the cover as he kept his head down, he snapped another clip into the gun, holding it up to fire in random directions. Then, standing, he fired off a few rounds, before taking a shot to the shoulder. He yelps as he fell back, gripping his shoulder, growling lightly. "Why! Don't let it end here!"
-
Chunks of the fallen are torn off and turned to dust, enough shots pierce it's chest and head that what could only be guessed is the core of such a creature is revealed. a swirling ball of black mist and blued energy continued withing the creature. As a shot slams into one of the cores, the creature staggers from the impact, letting out a frightful roar of pain; The sound resembling the terrible sounds of multiple screams reaching your ears in reverse. The thing shakes the remnants of it's head before charging directly at the guardian, firing it's weapon away as fast as the machine can. Once more the cabal's weapon slams into the multi-story building, removing more of the building in it's wake. With a howling groan, the building gives warning of it's impending collapse, sections of floor and wall crumbling away into the street below.
-
With a strenuous moment of hesitation from the building, as if hinting it might actually stand, it begins to crumble onto itself from the top down, rubble and debris flooding into the street. Satisfied that it's target has been eliminated, the dark cabal turns to face both Tdawg and Valeren to aid it's enraged comrade. As before, the obelisk-like weapon begins to charge.

YIISKAにより編集済み: 6/20/2015 6:22:14 AMThe creature stalks forward, continuing to charge it's weapon at the guardians. Suddenly, countless more Icebreaker shots ring out, spits of ash and darkness visibly rising from behind the cabal as the rounds slam into it's back. Ignoring them, the creature halts long enough to aim and fire it's destructive device at the pair of guardians.
-
The cabal notices with plenty of time to spare. Attempting to match your speed of charge, the creature changes it's grip upon the obelisk like weapon as it begins a heavy, dangerous swing towards you; using the weapon like a great club. More icebreaker shots ring out as bits of the being are chipped away.

Varen waited for the grenade to go off, before searching for a burning piece of debris. After finding one, he ran back to cover, "Don't worry.." He stabbed the flames into the wound, screeching in pain. As he pulled the flame out, he stood. The bleeding had stopped.
