Xbox Users: How would you feel if Bungie/Activision renewed the Playstation exclusives post Comet Expansion?

I don't care, Playstation exclusives are overrated

I would be pretty upset, but I'd still play

I'd be absolutely furious and may consider leaving

Being a long time Bungie/Halo fan I felt betrayed that Bungie played favorites and gave PSN users extra content for the same price I had to pay for the game and DLC. I understand from a business perspective that Playstation users wouldn't have been too keen on buying the game seeing that it was being developed by a former rival developer and they needed an extra incentive to hook the customers. Now that they have their fanbase they no longer need the extra content right? The exclusives are set to end in September, but Activision has a way of screwing people over and announcing things without implying that Xbox users wont be getting it. This makes me afraid that they'll continue to ignore half the fanbase and milk us for our money knowing that it will sell on the name Bungie alone on the Xbox. Gotta hate corporate greed. I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on exclusives, bad or good. Please forgive my bad English today, I forgot to sleep last night. If I missed anything or just spouted something absolutely wrong, let me know and I'll correct it. Get commenting :P Edit: They did just that. Bungie/Activision renewed exclusive content for PSN. Honestly, i'm outraged. Seriously, -blam!- exclusives and -blam!- you Activision. You make it REAL hard to like you Bungie. Real -blam!-ing hard.

  • The contract (which you can look up) states that Activision owns distribution rights, which includes content to a certain degree. However, Bungie retains intellectual property of Destiny (this was not the case with Halo, seeing that Microsoft owns it). To me, this looks like Bungie tried hard to keep their games this time around, which is best in the long run, even for the price they had to pay. Most funders/distributors won't fund/distribute without the rights to the entire franchise, but it looks like Bungie got Activision to agree to it. This is good because it means we won't end up seeing a second 343i, and therefore, an additional split of our beloved Bungie. PlayStation may have exclusive content, and I'm alright with that, but Xbox still has the better community and, frankly, the better players. That's our exclusive content.
