Great idea Bungie for the Lighthouse. For PvP end content you put elemental primaries only at a place for PvP only lol. Elemental primaries do nothing in PvP and you put them in for going 9-0 in ToO. I think it's funny what Bungie was thinking on this one.
Note: I'm not complaining, I am just joking about how Bungie puts things that only help for PvE in PvP end content. I have been to the Lightouse 15+ times so I really don't care what the rewards are especially since I have everything I want basically.

You know most pvp players do PvE... even if its just Nightfall but nightfall has burns so why not ?

Welcome to the machine. You will play what Bungie tells you to play. You don't have to enjoy it, you just have to do it.

I think this dlc is very pvp heavy. Etheric light chance- 9/week - trials 6/week- Poe 3/week- nightfal (very low chance) Poe rewards- low quality weapons with bad perks and useless burns. Armor only good for Poe. Trials rewards- very useful primaries with chance for any burn. Stats are much better on these weapons than the Poe weapons. Armor much better for pve and pvp than Poe armor also unless you get good perks for Poe.

Not true. Skolas can drop elemental primaries. Just not guaranteed. Which yes, I do think is dumb.
-
You can get elemental primaries from skolas. And he just got nerfed. Your welcome.

Kinda obvious they forcing PVE-ers to play PVP content. And making people who don't raid play POE. But no checkpoint is a joke. Thorn and Shotgun everywhere is a joke. The Last Word range and dmg even without hip fire is a joke. Grenade exploit to gain Super is a joke. ToO with lagswitcher and cheaters is a joke. Skolas getting nerf with no burn is a joke. I'm leaving Destiny for a while.

It's kind of Ironic actually: ToO gets the elemental primaries that are good for PvE where as PoE has exotics that can rip in crucible... (my friends got lord of wolves and ripped enemies to shreds in ToO) That last part MAY have been an isolated case...
-
Yeah, it's real dumb for Bungie to give good PvP players an incentive to play PvE. Like, there's no such thing as players who do both. I'm sure as hell glad you can't unlock PvP-orientated weapons like TLW in raids, think of how stupid and pointless that would be.

Just throwing this out there for the PvPers that don't know, a lot of the reason PvE players are upset about this is not because of the Burns on the weapons its the fact that PoE weapons were designed so poorly in comparison too ToO weapons. Like literally the PoE stuff feels like they just said "screw trying to make these weapons even the slightest bit worthwhile for any form of content and hey lets throw in a perk that deals bonus damage to Shanks" I'm totally happy for my friends in PvP finally getting nice stuff outside of IB(That they don't have to wait a month to do) but I'm seriously upset about the PoE weapons. Still 100% Salty about my PoE Rocket Launcher having Shank Burn too... because you know... I love shooting rockets at shanks and stuff.

I know I was trying to find a team to play ToO with on the forums but everyone just wants the best pvp players. I don't pls pvp much but want to be able to play the content I paid for but nobody wants to play if they can't go flawless. I posted on the forums that I was looking for two people to play ToO with that don't care about flawless and just want to play and have fun, I didn't get one reply. Thanks Bungie, my money was well spent.

CWard17により編集済み: 6/14/2015 12:46:28 PMCarrot on a stick. The more they keep you playing, the more of your money they will eventually get and the more work of mouth advertising they get. They know people will eventually stop playing Poe, so they made PvP the focus and filled it with the best loot. Same reason they balance the game around PvP. PvP keeps people playing long after they quit on PvE content. Pisses me off but Bungie is good at passing of PvE players, so...

This is just kinda along the same lines maybe? Maybe in the future they'll add things like shields for PvP or maybe even in PvE for guardians. Like you can equip different shield buffing items and maybe some give you an elemental shield like in PvE?
-
The reason why is because for those main PvP people who probably don't raid or do PoE, they can get elemental primaries and do things like nightfall Also Skolas can drop elemental primaries too
-
Bungies very good at pushing people around. They are giving PvE players a reason to branch out and play PvP. I fully get why they did this

I know right. How dare Bungie make it so you have to play Crucible to get guns/gear for PVE. Bungie makes it so 80% of the grind is PVE to get guns/gear for Crucible, so why not put a little more love into it. No hate, just saying most of the game caters to PVE. Putting a little speed bump in and making people grind PVP is never a bad thing to change it up.
