Peaceful talk about Thorn.
Thorn. (Yeah, that no skill gun that just about all of the community use in crucible) it's getting out of hand.
Now we all know iron banner was this last week, and we all expect to see thorns right? And I respect that SOMEWHAT because your just trying to get to rank five the easiest way. I still think you have no skill, but I understand your thinking.
Now in trials, I'd also SOMEWHAT understand why you would use it. Because why not? It's a sniper, it's suits any map. Plus it's a two shot, so why wouldn't you use it right? So I again still think you have 100% no skill using it, but I think any destiny player will use what's best to get to the lighthouse easiest.
Alright so finally we're talking regular crucible. I'm talking when all the prison of elders runs and all of the raids are completed for the week, and you just want to relax to a game of crucible. Wrong. Still thorns everywhere. Why? I have no idea.
This is where Bungie needs to come into play. This guns use is getting out of hand (I'm on Xbox if anyone was wondering, no hawkmoons here) and I'm saying this in the nicest way. It's in obvious need of some balancing and I think every player who plays pvp enough understands this. It's the best exotic primary in pvp. And along with that it's overused. If Bungie doesn't notice that and fix it, than they are just ruining such a good pvp that they have in place. I love this game and i would hate to only be able to use one of all the amazing guns in it.

I feel ya, in competitive modes I mostly use hawkmoon (recently acquired so yeah I don't have 20k kills with it yet...) and sniper, but I gotta admit thorn is always in my inventory in case everything goes to shit. I feel it's wrong, no weapon should be an auto-pick for EVERY player regardless of their play styles. But in regular crucible I always play with what I have on my toons. Usually something like 55A-Allfate, messenger expert, jewel of Osiris, etc. and honestly, it's so much more fun and enjoyable! Just yesterday, I had a crazy good game with Allfate and astral horizon with my hunter (GG). I wrecked tons of thorns and blink shotgun, enough to receive 2 hate mails after the game. Man it felt great! Never will you feel like that using overpowered/overused guns. Just remember : games are for fun, even if you lose some games, I feel any other gun is way more enjoyable

1 返信What makes it so good is it does as much damage as a high impact hand cannon, with the fire rate and stability of a low impact hand cannon. It's the best of both worlds, with non of the drawbacks of either.

2 通の返信Totally. The Thorn is worse than the SUROS pre-nerf. Bungie needs to look at this. And for all of you saying just buff auto rifles. REMEMBER this is supposed to be a halo type game with advanced armor etc. we're not looking for cod style deaths...

3 通の返信Thorn isn't an issue because it's strong. It's an issue because it has a potentially brutal glitch. When you equip it the first round you shoot does a LOT more damage. It is always a 2 shot kill if you are willing to equip another primary and then equip the Thorn after each kill. Anyone who is complaining about anything else with the Thorn is just confused. It's a good gun, with a glitch that makes it much better.
