Thorn is a Crutch
I know all the Thorn babies are gonna get bent out of shape about this but overall, it takes little skill to kill in PvP with this thing.
Before all the kids go "You're just jealous cause you don't have it", check yourself m8. I do have it and I prefer not to use it cause I'd like to have some sort of integrity.
If the burn was shortened, the RoF was lowered just a bit and the mag size was returned to 6, the gun wouldn't be any more broken than any other gun.
Who here is tired of the Green Sh*t Shooter? :D
EDIT: I love how the kids in opposition don't counter my argument by stating that Thorn is not overpowered xD
EDIT: I personally did not expect so many replies :O from the comments that I've seen, the general nerf wanted is:
•slower rate of fire
•decrease range
•have burn stop when user gets killed
•decrease time of burn
Also I love seeing the arguments against me saying that I should do certain things and fighting thorn becomes a cake walk. I know how to play peoples, had the game since week 2 xD just saying there are little working tactics against a team with 4+ Thorns (basically every IB game right now)

Thorn is OP... Thats why i use it. It's a fun weapon but there are some equally op guns, and 1 that rules them all! TLW is the only primary that can compeat in dps with a heavy machine gun, this needs to be addressed, maybe make the spread higher. Oh and yah, thorn is practically a good damn snipe

I don't mind thorn, but rather all the idiots that use it. My god quit D-riding that freaking gun. Over half the people I fight are straight ass with it and the only reason you use it is because you think it makes you some kind of good. Its so sad to jump in crucible and see 77447 thorn users. Wouldn't mind seeing some variety. Same with shotguns too! Damn idiots will run through a storm of bullets head first trying to get that shotgun kill only to die from across the map. I'm convinced that all of you who rely on thorn are just... bad. Or dumb... Or both. I suck at crucible, but thorn has never been a big issue for me. Its just annoying seeing only thorn when I play. So pathetic. Bungie needs to make some sort of incentive to have people use other guns. And no I don't mean nerf it.

I use the thorn because I had to work through the glitch era to get it. I suck at PvP and I am aware of it, but I have killed many people who were using the thorn. It may have been dumb luck everytime, however the fact of the matter is your loadout SHOULD be your only concern. No matter how frustrating it is keep calm and play your way.

The main problem is the fire rate. The thing hits like a truck but has the faster fire rate you see on most 3-4 hit kill hand cannons which to me is a bit much. It should be more in line with a harder hitting hand cannon like Timur's Lash where you have a much slower fire rate and need to be much more accurate with your shots. Thorn just really has no weakness at all and can 2 hit kill out to sniper range, while all other hand cannons with much slower times to kill were nerfed in terms of their accuracy at long ranges so they could no longer compete with scout rifles and sniper rifles. Thorn is still broken in this instance. The exotic hand cannons in general are just too good and appear to be unaffected by the hand cannon adjustments that occurred back with patch 1.1.1. I quit using TLW just because I don't want to be "that guy" lol, but I'll still pull it out from time to time if our team is sucking and I need to put my try hard pants on. Otherwise I've been having a ton of fun using Fang of Ir Yut and Oversoul Edict this time around in Iron Banner. Also if anyone is looking for a sleeper weapon, the new Vanguard Vendor pulse rifle is insanely good!

I used it some today for first time. Have to be honest, it is pretty fun. But I still do much better with other weapons. I take down thorn users all the time, just have to play smart. The real problem occurs when you get matched against whole team of thorn users, then there is no hope.
