I'm level 25 and have been running daily strikes for the last two and a half days alternating between the 24 and 26-level lists. (Mainly because fighting +1 level enemies is absurdly unfun.) I have the most light-granting blue gear possible and have not, in hundreds of loot drops, found better pieces.
The only way forward seems to be through farming or praying to Peter Dinklage for a random Legendary drop.
So my question is as follows:
Is this the intended Destiny experience, or am I missing something?
I bought both of the DLC packages and can't even see the later levels of the Dark Below because it's a higher level than I can complete. I realized I have just enough Vanguard Marks to buy a piece of gear, but I apparently need to grind out my reputation to open it for purchase.
Please tell me this isn't how the game is supposed to be played.
Please.

Temyarにより編集済み: 5/14/2015 5:48:19 PMRep up with vangaurd and use marks to buy the legendary 24/32 light gear. Its still a bit if a grind until you can do some of the higher level content but its better then praying to RNGesus for loot. One or two pieces (150 marks and rank 2 for gloves and boots) is usually enough to bump you up to 28 ish and then you can hit vog and TDB. If you can manage 13 strange coins that's an exotic armor piece from xur as well which will get you up higher.

Buy a helmet from Xur, buy a chest piece from the vendors (75 marks) and max them out. That will give you 69 light from just those two pieces. Combined with your blue garbage, you should have enough for 27 or 28. Do all of the Eris missions and bounties and you'll be rewarded with LL33 gauntlets. That'll put you at 30. You can then head to the CE raid which gives out gear like candy. Once you're at 30, you can start running the Nightfalls and Heroics, too.

The highest possible light level to be reached with rare armor are the Crucible rewards or the PlayStation exclusive rare armor. The PS armor will get you to level 26. So will Crucible armor rewards that have a max light of 20/21.

There are many things to do. Work on your Eris missions(TDB questline) at the end she will have a mission that involves purchasing an "urn" from xur. after completing all her missions she gives you legendary gloves that can give you a max of 33 light. This will be enough to get you to lv 27 and do nightfalls/crota raids on normal. If you can find a group that can help you do vault of glass, that'll help you a bunch bcus you can get legendary raid gear from it that will help you also. good luck

Do what the thee people say about grinding to go buy vendor gear but wait till tue dlc so it's new stuff. :) or buy one get to 27 then have friends carry you through nightfall. And hope. Xur to. Could think of a few ways.

If you just do your daily bounties you can level your faction pretty quickly, unlocking either free gear or the right to purchase gear. You could also buy an exotic piece from xur... Those things will get you leveled enough for raids... It was designed to take some time to level up.

Nope. That's it. That's the game. Levels 24-28 are the weird limbo stage where the only way to progress is through grinding. Granted, it's not THAT much grinding once you know the tricks (DO YOUR BOUNTIES EVERYDAY) and grind out the level 24 strikes for marks. But that's the game. Until you get 28 and then can do raids and stuff, but even that's just a grind to get whatever piece you need. Grind up to vanguard rep level 2 and get marks. Buy some vendor gear when HoW drops and your level will skyrocket. Promise.

You need to be doing Public Events (for Marks) and Bounties (XP and rep and Commendations). With Marks, you can buy legendary armour pieces from your Vanguard Mentor to get you to level 31. You can run the Bounties and PEs at the same time. Each Gold Tier you get in Public Event gives you 4 Marks. First of the day will give you 2 Marks bonus from the Postmaster. Doing 3 PEs a day will give you 14 Marks. 7 Days/week means you can get 98 Marks/Week. 75 Marks will get you an armour piece, except for the helmet which is more expensive. You can only get 100 Marks a week though. This way, you are not relying on luck to get you purple gear. And PEs are much quicker and easier than Strikes and Daily Heroics. Once you are in the high 20s, then you may want to do Roc Strikes and Daily Heroics to supplement your PEs to get you Marks.

tweekin99により編集済み: 5/14/2015 3:22:15 AM1st of all, if you have the dlc, go to the special packages vender and get your ledgendary sparrow. 2nd, do your bounties to level up your rep. Stop turning in your engrams in low numbers, turn in about 20 at a time and wait for them to load befor decrypting the next, about 1-2 seconds between each. This should yeild a random ledgendary. Once you level cryptarc check your mail. If you are sitting in 200 marks, and dont have the rep to buy gear befor the end of the week, buy 100 marks worth of mats. And grind out your marks again tuesday. Vanguard sells 2 peices of gear under 100 marks each. Also, go get your sparrow from the special package vender!! Do it now!! Edit, i see you have 3 exotic weapons, including galahorn?

Not sure if this is a troll, or just someone that is possibly being ignorant. Really dude, you should be able to hit any faction rank 3 fairly quick, which then unlocks all of the armor they have available. Then it's just a matter of having marks to buy the gear. You can buy level 31 gear, so your complaints are pretty much falling on deaf ears in this forum. And the fact that you haven't earned enough strange coins from any activities to be able to buy at least one exotic piece of gear kind of baffles me as well.
