It's actually a very fun, involved MMO.
While there is a cash shop, all of the equipment is level locked, so buying end game gear at level 1 does nothing for you as you still have to attain those levels before the equipment can be used. So, while its F2P, it's not P2W.
That said, there's tons of content in this game.. Quests, item and equipment variety, professions, crafting, its a very good MMO that I highly recommend.

The only issue I have with the game is their servers. I get tons of rubberbanding and "server not responding". For an online only MMO (and this goes for all of those online only games out there...), you'd think companies would have 'server stability' near the top of their priority lists. On a bad night, you'll be lucky to get past the log-in screen. On good nights you'll barely notice even the smallest of lag. But the game is enough fun that I'm willing to overlook even this issue.
