Interstellar
Wasn't getting any sleep so I decided to watch [i]Interstellar[/i] for the first time.. and it was freaking fantastic. I kinda teared up during hahaha. Though I'm reading a lot of hate for it on the Interwebs which surprises me. Sure there are a few elements that are a bit silly... But hey, it's a movie. Really not something that bothers me too much.
What are your thoughts about the movie?

Hated that movie the whole love transcends time and space message was really cheesy and cliche. Every single character was contemptible with no one putting humanity before themselves. Only good thing about it was that it had a high budget for good effects.

Then other people get mad that people are actually liking things, and the contrarian circlejerk starts. I liked the movie a lot. The cinematography and score are amazing, and it had some incredibly powerful moments. There are some flaws - I thought the writing was weak and that the movie basically fell apart at the end - but Interstellar made me feel like I myself went on a journey, and that's pretty amazing.

I liked it! I personally love the actors in it - and it was also a fairly original movie. (which is pretty rare these days, IMO) It kept me interested. *slight spoiler ahead * [spoiler]The part at the very end where he was in the black hole kind of gave me a twinge of anxiety! lol [/spoiler] It's awesome when a movie can make you feel a lot of different emotions.

1 返信It was amazing. The only part of that movie that I couldn't quite grasp/ gave me a headache was the bookshelf part.

I mean, they did get an actual astrophysicist to be part of the filmmaking, so I guess that helps. This isn't to say some parts were bullshit, but it makes for a good sci-fi story. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
