If you play Destiny I am probably older than you. It sucks to type that really, I started gaming with Mario on a rubbish black and white Game boy and Tomb Raider for me had Lara with triangular boobs (gives you a rough idea how old), games have come along way and it's awesome. I have played a couple of raids and have always noticed that the people I play with are much younger than me, im not surprised by this and have no issue with that at all, they tend to be nice guys. I was wondering if their are many other players that are 30+ out there on Destiny?
If you are 360 player and see my Hunter about, lend him a crutch.
Cheers
Wow, im really surprised at the response. Im really happy to see like minded people, husbands and fathers (haven't seen any mothers yet) who probably squeeze in an hour of game time in when everyone has gone go to sleep and you have work the next morning.
Im on Xbox 360 with user name TheLastGreyFox feel free to add me if anyone fancies. Cheers

2 通の返信If you've played Contra on the NES, then you're considered "mature"... ... ... ... ... Kidding of course..."aged", but not necessarily "mature"

1 返信I usually tell anoying kids that I was saving the princess from the tower before they were even born. Then ask them how they liked games like metroid or the legend of zelda for nes. But for the most part don't have a problem with younger players at all. I've played them all going back to Atari. I even keep a NES for my kids to play mario and zelda on. But just to clarify age has nothing to do with maturity. :p

l0stweaponryuにより編集済み: 3/26/2015 7:18:03 PM36 Started playing on an Atari 5200 (Pacman and Breakout FTW) Systems I have owned: Atari 5200 Atari 7800 Sega Master System Nes Super NES Genesis Sega Saturn Panasonic 3DO (I guess the theme here is I was a spoiled child, this is also the final system my parents purchased for me, everything going forward I bought myself) Nintendo 64 Playstation Dreamcast Xbox PS2 PS3 Xbox 360 PS4 I never got into handhelds and I have been a PC gamer as well for about 15 years or so.

32 years old. First system was an Atari 2600 (It was really my Dad's). Upgraded to a PC in about 88, a Tandy 1000. Got into a lot of Sierra Games (King's Quest, Space Quest, etc.) but at 5 years old, it was more of me moving around and my older brothers telling me what to type. Shortly after got a Nintendo, and basically every Nintendo console after that. Stuck with PC gaming as well. Had a stint with RTS games like Warcraft 2, Command & Conquer, etc. As well as some of the first, FPS online games like Quake, Duke3D, etc. It's crazy how games have changed in just the past 30-35 years.

Thanks for all the replies ladys and gents. Im impressed at the number of people who, like me, sneak time to play between actually having a life. As much as I enjoy playing with younger people, I do get bored when they go on and on about how much 'hard work' they put in to earn a gun in a game. Hard work is not sitting on your bottom shooting things on a TV screen.

4 通の返信Started gaming on an Atari and odyssey 2, a system with a keyboard built into the console and a voice box adapter, ahh good old days. From there a colecovision, cousins had intellivision, had an apple 2c with green crt, single button joystick that had sliders to adjust the centering of it. Cousins had Commodore 64, used to love playing summer games, Bruce lee, transformers, airwolf, jungle hunt. Kings quest and Transylvania were awesome story/rpg games. Have had basically every game system after that except 3do, jaguar, and neo geo, didn't have a turbografix 16, but had the express. First handheld that played the original systems games. Still have all my consoles from genesis/nes to Xbox one and ps4. Ex friend lost/sold my game gear, never got real story from him. Really wish I still had it, great system but terrible battery life. 30+ years of gaming and still going strong. Can't wait till my daughter is a little older and I can start her off on Mario and Sonic and work her up to the current consoles over time.

1 返信33 here. My first game was probably Sokoban or Decathlon on a 286pc. Anybody remember those ones?

51 here. Divorced, so plenty of time to play when I want. I'm in with a good group of 30-somethings, I think. Not sure really, and it doesn't matter. They mostly have families and everyone is very patient with each other, especially for real-life issues.

Eclipseにより編集済み: 3/26/2015 3:39:21 PMI'm a teacher and just turned 30 in January. I still find time to game often. I have a lot of friends who are also 30+ that play Destiny or other games. People our age grew up with video games. It shouldn't be surprising that games are still a part of our lives, even as we age passed 30. :)
