Buff AR's to Former Glory
The Crucible is overrun with Pulse Rifles, Handcannons, and Shotguns. The majority of AR's are trash, up to the point where they don't even contend with the top five weapons in Crucible. We should see Bungie buff the impact & stability of all AR base stats by 2 - 3%. Range can stay low where it's at. What are your thoughts?
Edit: the current issue is when I engage in an advantageous one-on-one gunfight, built for me to win and lose simply because my weapon is underwhelming. This lets us know that these weapons are terribly imbalanced. Granted I'm not the strongest of players but I understand tact & game flow.

I don't think they should be buffed to their "former glory" because, during that time, using an auto rifle was almost as required as using a hand cannon is now. I think they could use a buff, certainly, but not to what they were.

2 通の返信I think AR's should be buffed in close range and have a very steep damage fall off. Like being ineffective after 15m and no damage on 20m and more.

6 通の返信High ROF rifles need a fairly large buff. Low ROF rifles need a slight buff. Nothing too major.

Re-buff the Autos to get the same TTK and range as the Pulses. Instead of being short-range, they should be on par with the Pulses. Auto and Pulse Rifles would then fulfill the same role but they would have alternative fire mode. Choosing one over another would then be a question of what one likes more. Like what the R-101C Carbine is to the Hemlok BF-R in Titanfall. They are virtually the same. Just with a different firing mode. I'm in favor of that.

1 返信As much as i hate triplewreck. I hope he says something about the overuse of hand cannons and underuse if auto rifles when he talks to bungie on Wednesday.
