Edit: im on the 360
The Dark Below for me has been nothing but irritating. Not the actual raid, but the people. For some reason i am always invited into a group with 3 experienced players and 3 semi noobs. me being the latter. The 3 experienced players are always complaining about the team sucking. on hard. (i have accomplished hard before)
Now apparently I'm not good enough for this raid because i don't have the Ghorn. I didn't realize this was required to play the raid. so now i get kicked from raid teams because my rocket launcher isn't good enough. I'm sorry that I'm more of an LMG guy and my Truth doesn't do it for you. Edit: all in all i just think this raid relies too much on launchers.
In Vault of Glass I was never asked if I had a specific weapon. It was just my level. This raid i have done with many noobs, and with a bit of teaching and hard work we always came through. it didn't matter if you had the most op weapons in the game you could still accomplish victory.
Edit: The reason i wrote this was to compare my experience between the two. not to bitch about getting kicked.
Overall VoG was just way more fun for me and i could accomplish with any assortment of weapons. I just think it is dumb that CE almost always requires a rocket launcher. and on top of that doesn't really even need teamwork.
Bungie, please don't allow the next raid to be like TDB. Please let it rely on player skill instead of player weapons.

3 通の返信Moonglowにより編集済み: 3/12/2015 11:09:12 PMCrota doesn't need rocket launchers. People have taken down his shields with No Land Beyond, so that should tell you something. Just because some people are idiots doesn't make it a design flaw. Crota can be taken down with consistent fire from any weapon type. And CE needs teamwork. The problem is too many people cheese it. The Abyss? Most people just send a Hunter through while everyone else kicks back. The Bridge? People go off the map to despawn enemies, and then have everyone snipe across the gap. Crota? People just use the 'Middle Strategy' to avoid having to deal with enemies. I've only been able to find one group who is willing to do the raid legit, and it makes things far more challenging. While it still isn't quite up to the VOG simply because it doesn't have the same diversity (the puzzle and platforming elements made the VOG fun, IMO) it's still good.

I don't think I've ever gotten kicked for it, but I am tired of hearing about the gally being golden. The only thing it really has over truth is wolf pack. Whoop deep do. Truth still has tracking and it's still and exotic. It does it damn job. Lol

Always run CE on normal before running on hard, even if only the Crota cp. you'll have a shot at a Hunger of Crota. It's an accepted alternative to Ghorn. Not saying it's right, but a HoC will help, and you know where to get it. Still RNG, but make sure you take a shot weekly.

2 通の返信I wish there were a more viable option for a heavy machine.... Something that can compete with the top rocket launchers.

I do see what you're saying about rockets. Idc what rocket you use as long as it's maxed and you can hit target. I've had way to many kids with stock rockets missing the shot and my sword disappears halfway through the second down cus they can't down him in a timely manner.
-
Telling you right now HoW is going to be exactly like TDB, but instead of gally it will be thunder lord.. I maybe completely wrong but if that guy who data mined the raids is correct it's going to be arc burn for lvl 34 raid and thunder lord even on yellow bared enemies does 900+ damage and people will be looking for the DPS..
-
I was in a raid group for CE twice where no-one (except me) had tracking rockets. One group crashed and burned because they couldn't hit Crota, the next group downed him every time due to precise coordination. Best thing to do is stamp your authority on the group.

McCREEにより編集済み: 3/13/2015 3:29:25 AMHaving a good launcher *is* important. Truth is a good launcher. And for what it's worth, Bungie shouldn't be held accountable for its playerbase being a bunch of idiots. They didn't design CE to be played with specific weapons. The community, somewhere along the way, decided this was the case.

Rokonにより編集済み: 3/12/2015 10:34:24 PMThere's no actual reason why TDB is worse than VOG, it's just you sharing your experiences against terribad fireteam members. The players being elitist pricks is not a valid reason why CE is bad. P.S. Corrective Measure destroys Oracles, but you don't see that being a requirement. Gjallarhorn is just an extremely effective, single-target Rocket Launcher, and that's the reason why people want it in the raids, there's only one target to fire at. It's just a good shield vaccum; literally any rocket with tracking (or hell, non-tracking) can do the job. But as I said before, elitist pricks plague the Solar System.

Sounds like you just happened to have better luck with VOG than with CE. I have had the same experience just 180 around. Can barely stand the VOG to this date because of all the randoms that were total d-bags to play with. Found that almost every group I played with had their own specific strategy in VOG. I would be reamed throughout the game or booted for not knowing the exact strategy the group was playing even though they never communicated it; (like playing with the wife, lol). VOG was also very team dependent and it can brutal trying to find a good team of randoms. CE is more like strikes and story missions. It is less dependent on every member of the fire team being flawless. Once you develop a solid strategy you can help make up for any lack of experience of other fire team members and can still be successful. As long as one or two other members have a good load out and know what to do then your golden. I have met my share of d*cks no matter what raid I play but they are easier to ignore for me on CE because I have my own strategy that works. I have only seen two types of players that demand people to have the best rockets. 1) People who have had nothing but bad experience playing with a full team of randoms that don't know what they are doing and can't seem to help down Crota because they miss with rockets or are attempting the raid with absolutely no good weapons. 2) People that completely lack the skill to help lead the team and need others to make up for their own shortcomings. Hopefully you can find one or two other like minded players so you can have better experiences with this dlc. I have finally realized myself that are too many good people out there to let haters ruin aspects of the game for you.

DeluxeGeminiにより編集済み: 3/12/2015 10:03:08 PMCE is one of the worst raids ever. It's not even a hard raid it's just irritating and sucks the life out of players. Constantly being overrun the entire raid to create some sort of difficulty is such a horrible idea. Not to mention the insane amount of over leveled majors in hardmode that mostly serve to slow the players down is irritating. You can't proceed because 9 yellow knights are busy doing spins and cartwheels in the hallway like it's a cheerleading squad. They barely even do anything unless you get close and take tons of ammo. The swordbearer at the end is the worst thing ever. He comes out then literally plays tag. He's constantly sliding and spinning all over walls with packs of thrall sniffing his butt. He gets shot a few times and he runs away regenerating health. Crota barely even does something. He just stands there barely shooting anyone waiting to be cleaved. He's just beyond boring. Atleast Atheon shot back at us and shuffled abit.

15 通の返信Apex of Warにより編集済み: 3/12/2015 8:18:04 PMVoG and CE are very different raid experiences. The mechanics of VoG stress team coordination and communication. It cannot be solo'd. It's what makes it enjoyable. CE can be solo'd. CE can be cheesed. CE requires little to no communication between teammates. Here's an example of a run of the mill HM raid: The Pit: Hunter: "Who's gonna make the jump?" Titan: "Me" 5 people get themselves killed, the Titan gets to the rock at the second lamp and makes the jump. Runs to the end, jumps on the rock by the bridge. Ogres come, Titan bubble drops. Bridge finishes, Titan runs across. Done. The Bridge: Hunter: "Who's going to cross the bridge?" Warlock: "Me" Start the encounter. People on totem, Warlock in middle. Build bridge, kill sword bearer, Warlock crosses and hides. The rest of us jump on top of the towers, despawn everything and start sniping across the map. Ogres come, snipe them down. Done. Hallway: No dialogue here. Everyone bum rushes it while one or two light up the shriekers. Gain access to chest. Done. Takes about as long to complete this part as it did to read this description of it. Deathsinger: Everyone runs in, people guess which way to go. One person on each side takes it upon themselves to aggro wizard. Gjallarhorn them to death. One person on each side takes it upon themselves to kill shrieker. Titan: "Shrieker down on right side" Warlock: "Shrieker down on left side" Everyone still alive runs in and blows up Ir Yut. A couple people die, the survivors clean up trash. Done. Crota: Without a single word spoken, everyone immediately switches to a hand cannon and Ice Breaker and starts to empty their primary and heavy ammo. Leaves 2-1/2 mag worth of primary ammo to prevent ammo regen. Hunter: "I'll get the sword" Titan: "I'll get the bubble" Encounter starts, everyone empties their primary ammo. Walls come down and it rains heavy ammo. Knights left at low health, Warlock supers and generates 10000000 orbs. Everyone runs out, goes to center, blows up sword bearer. Hunter grabs sword, Titan drops bubble. Drop Crota x2 and beat him up. Run back in crystal room. Rinse and repeat sword bearer phase. Then come ogres. Blow them up quickly, repeat sword bearer phase. Done. This is why Crota's End is dull. Cheeses and content easy enough to solo that it requires practically no communication. Along with the 'trophy' exotic that everyone leaves rusting in their vaults, there's no incentive to run this mundane content week after week.

1 返信I hate the Crota part. It is the most boring part there.5 people sit around doing nothing, and the swordbearer has all the fun. They always want you to have tracking rockets, and there are more glitches in this part than the rest of the raid combined!

My 2 friends and I struggled with the abyss until we learned the path and figured it out without cheesing (also without tagging along with experienced players). We learned how to do the bridge without cheesing and the deathsinger and finally Crota. We built up to lvl 31/32. I have 9 CE Normal completions,2 CE Hard Mode and 2 VOG Hard (at lvl 31 not under lvl) and I consider myself a novice raider. http://destinystatus.com/xbl/Nox451 says you have 1 CE Normal and 0 CE Hard Mode completions. If I was organizing a raid group I would vet players before inviting them them to the group just to kick them. I would also be justified in asking for certain criteria as long as I was upfront about it and did not invite without checking. My group my rules! You would have better luck after completing normal a few more times, getting to a high lvl 31 so others would see that you are almost there and be inclined to help out. Also you would have better luck if you didn't act like you have victimized because you want to skip the grind and go for the gold. P.S. A newly minted un-upgraded "Truth" is not a substitute for a fully upgraded launcher with seeking.

5 通の返信Nothings going to change because it's not in Bungie's hands. It's the players inflicting these garbage prerequisite of needing a certain pattern of pixels (Gjallarhorn) and nothing else. They are judging your skill based on you lotto ticket winnings. It's rather idiotic but that's the world we live in. Stupid people out number smart people and are breeding furiously.
