Unbalanced Raid Loot Acquisition

loot should be attainable once, screw casuals

loot should be available up to 2 or 3x, balanced

I recently posted this under a different subsection, but it got NO attention other than a friend of mine, so I decided to move it to where I think would be a more populated area for this type of complaint. Not everyone plays this game like mad, but there are people who like to help people through the raids, and I beleive that there should be multiple times that you can acquire the raid gear, at least from Crotchety old Crota. The reason I say this is because for the past 4 weeks I've been doing this raid, regardless of players, I've gotten repeat loot. and that's totally fine, given the circumstances of the random loot table, BUT, that doesn't take away from the fact that I probably at this point [u][i]deserve[/i][/u] the helmet I want to make my armor look cool. I feel if there were more chances to get the loot, maybe people wouldn't complain as much about the raids themselves, and maybe they'd even help out the Nubs who can't find a party on their own, so that way they can get some radiant shards or something. from one run you could probably get around 12-15 radiant shards if you dismantle all of the acquired gear(if you get a drop in every area), maybe to counter this increase in shard acquisition, we could take away the shards that eris sells, seeing as though this would unbalance the shards. another thing I could probably add, bring back a use for the ascendant shards. Not to sound whiny, but not everyone even wants to run these raids. I've heard VERY concerning things from your players about this game and the raids especially, and I hate hearing things like this. let them stop whining, and just make it a little more fair. that's all we ever really wanted. fairness.

  • Someone posted in my last post that we have three characters who can run it, and this is very true, however i was thinking a way to balance the shard gathering for THAT would be, make the shard acquisition separate from gear acquisition. in other words; you would get shards the first time in the chests for each character, and maybe at some checkpoints, but you would never get them again after the first time you did hard. the other two times you wanted to run the raid, for that character, you would ONLY get armor, and a chance for an exotic at the end, like it should be. any feedback is welcome. I want this to be noticed and something done about.
