How did you come up with your Gamertag?
Mine is a reference to the character Gale Boetticher from the show Breaking Bad (it only took me a year to realize that it also means fart).

I remember really sticking to this name in the early 2000s when Medal of Honor: Allied Assault was released. I chose the name for a number of reasons. First, Jared was still all over the place as far as tv ads go, so it was instantly recognizable. And considering the saturation of the commercials, I'd gather that it might slightly infuriate other players. Secondly, in MoH there was a text-based kill commentary on mp servers and it was constantly edited on the private/clan servers. Seeing "You were blown away by SubwaysJared" or "You were shot in the face by SubwaysJared" was quite funny. Also, it opened up some interesting trash-talk options. There is, of course, the obvious "Eat Fresh" comments. I decided to get a little more creative and taunt people into trying my "new sandwich, the hot lead on grilled sourdough" or "buckshot on whole wheat", and there may have been one or more having to do with "swiss cheese." P.S. - I am not the real Jared from Subway; I seem to get that a lot. :-)

1 返信When I was at camp my first year, I found a group of peeps playing the game mafia (awesome game btw) and me and my friend decided to play. After a few rounds, me and another kid became mafia. The kid decided he wanted to "kill" of my friend and when my friend found out she died, she knew right away I was a mafia. I added America to my name because another friend started calling me the AmericanMafia while he was the Russian mafia. That's how my game tag was formed.

My name is a really OP card in a card game I play called Android: Netrunner, where you essentially steal money from the other player and double it. I chose it because MS banned my old name and gave me a randomly generated one that I hated so they effectively stole money from me (had to pay 10 bucks to change it to something I actually wanted that wasn't stupid). I keep hoping someone will get the reference but no such luck so far.

I made mine when I was 11. And it still impresses me. It is extremely unique and you won't find another person with MUSTKILL at the end of there real first name. Idk why I made it the way it is. But people compliment it all the time.

Zan was my elven magician in Everquest which was my first real game where names mattered more than some random gibberish for FPS tags. Most of my tags or character names have contain that start since then (getting close to 20 years now?) Pretty nerdy.
