Earning exotics from Xur is like earning participation ribbons in sports. They're really only there as hand-outs for bad players so they don't feel left out.

"People like you" - I earned all of my exotics whatever way you look at it. You're just the jealous douchebag gamer type who wants people to validate his apparently hard-earned exotics over someone who has put the same amount of work in to buy theirs from Xur. Grow up.

BasilGoldsack NZにより編集済み: 2/28/2015 7:28:39 AMWhat constitutes a good player to you? My stats destroy yours, and I can tell you right now that Xur gear is as earned as anything else. Do you know why? Because I can go out, right now, kill a level 2 Dreg, and get an engram for Gjallarhorn. Unlikely? Sure. But there's a chance. There's a reason why Xur doesn't sell raid weapons, armour, or the Crux/Mythoclast. Because THOSE are items that Bungie deems that you can only earn a single way, from a single activity. You can't get an Oversoul Edict from a random patrol. Thus, it is earned from the raid, and only the raid. Everything else? You can get from EVERYWHERE else. You can get a random exotic from doing any activity. Hence, you can get a random exotic from playing the game. You can get Strange Coins from playing the game. Strange Coins get you random exotics. Both are random, both are easy, both are as earned as another. TLDR: Xur exotics are as earned as any other exotics. If Xur exotics aren't earned, neither are random exotics. That's what raid gear and weapons are for. And no wall of text that no one is going to read will change that.

definitely solid stats yo, however, when you have high control kd that tells me one thing. you play only to fckin win. i.e, fireteams, best weapon loadout at all times, etc. notice my control stats are way lower than everything else? that's pretty evident of me running bounties alone and not caring. but thats cool, you being really good doesnt make me bad. i'd still classify myself as a good pvp player. even better at pve. i lead every raid im in, and always do the toughest jobs. because nobody else can, really. you down crota hard as sword bearer? i certainly hope so. because i fyou are a skilled, complete player. are you not bored too with what little activity destiny has to offer us, and that every single player in this game is just handed everything? what do we get for being good players? the same crap that joe bonehead gets for logging in twice a week. strange system.

Okay, so what I get from this is that you're a sad little man who only finds fulfillment in a video game after achieving pixels that other people don't have. Newsflash, you can already do that. It's called raid weapons. Raid armour. Raid shaders. Raid ships. Non raiders can't get those shiny items, and they never will unless they step up to the plate. Not everything has to come from a raid though. That's the beauty of it. Raiders even get extra shots at the exotics, because they do harder content. But for the showing off, the raid gear is there. Oh, but you're annoyed because no one cares about raid gear, aren't you. No one thinks you're a special snowflake at the tower and so that makes you salty. That wouldn't change if exotics were only from raids either; no one cares if they see those items. Destiny isn't that kind of game. You also aren't anywhere near as good as you seem to think you are. Get your head out of your ass and realise that people who are better than you, who have better gear than you, who have put in more hours than you, don't give two shakes where Joe Blogs got his Gjallarhorn from, as long as he knows how to use it. More people to raid with, IMO. P.S., I don't run with a fireteam in PvP. Never have, probably never will. It's called not being bad.

Entering an activity that revolves around winning with no intention of going for a win is the definition of being bad. And not only are you bad, you're also ruining the game for your team mates. But let me guess, your counter argument is going to be that those who are trying to win are tryhards and ruin your casual expereince? Well, why don't you mail Bungie and tell them to get rid of the scoreboard. Because you know, it was obviously not intended. Enjoy your respawn screen, champ!
