Earning exotics from Xur is like earning participation ribbons in sports. They're really only there as hand-outs for bad players so they don't feel left out.

[quote]Edited for essay deletion. Earning exotics from Xur is like earning participation ribbons in sports. You know how many your going to get by changing the difficulty. You then complete the level of difficulty. You are then rewarded said coins... With the exception of AFK 'ers, how are they not earned? Its all RNG. The only exceptions are the exotic bounties, Thorn in particular. That gun has to be earned. So... Your logic of earning a ghjallarhorn is flawed. Try again.

When you work at a job for a predetermined amount of pay, that pay is earned. Unless you consider a pay check just getting lucky. When you do a weekly heroic strike, you are told before hand exactly how many strange coins you will be "paid" for completing it. That makes them earned. If you want to be even more precise, RNG is like playing the lottery. What you recieve from a lottery is called winnings not earnings. Just because you've played the lottery 1000 different times, doesn't suddenly change your winnings into earnings. It's still all about getting lucky. All you really did was to increase your odds of winning by playing so much.

Ever think maybe he's just a little twit who criticizes guardians for spending the coins they EARNED after he was fortunate in a random drop to earn a piece of gear he doesn't want others to have as well? He's just another special snowflake... this community is rife with them.

Earned... You make me laugh... Unless you are talking about nightfall/weekly rewards. 13 random completion awards should not be the equivalent of an exotic. Now, a nightfall and a weekly... That's worth an exotic.

So says who? You? So much expertise to be interpreting those who are, and are not worthy. Understandable with all that experience you bring to the table. I'll stick with Bungie and Xur's interpretation, thanks.

All I can suggest to you is try, just try, to find some fulfillment in the real world. If and when you manage that, you'll realise that pixel status doesn't matter. It never mattered. I'm a better player than you, and I'm telling you to suck it up. Don't go out and say "600 noobs who just want handouts" when there have been a multitude of replies to your elitist post from players who are better than you.

JHarvにより編集済み: 2/28/2015 9:38:44 PMthis has nothing to do with who is good, or better. it has to do with Destiny behind dragged down by the weakest link. At some point you have to get rid of the ball and chain. Will you be playing this game in 6 months from now if this current system remains? P.S. if i tried as hard as you do on your precious fire teams every time you play the game, i'd have way better stats. i challenge you to never play on a fire team ever again and see where your KD ends up. oh wait, cant do that. video games too important. right? and you're trying to talk to me about real world fulfillment? what are you, like 22? living with your friends on your parents dime, playing destiny for a living? neat. i absolutely should take advice from you.

Dude just go and play a different video game. The last time I checked destiny was not a game that was created for the elitist of the elite to play! The game is less than six months old, they have to have feedback and responses from the community before they can look to make these type of changes. You're saying all of this as if this game is been out long enough for these developers to know this by now. Say it with me: It. Is. A. New. Game. It's so disheartening to see people on these forums constantly finding something to bitch about. If you don't like the way the game is, and you feel that they will not change it, then just leave the forms and quit playing the game. While I might agree slightly on a few of your points such as they should make better guns cost more money, everything else that you're saying holding the factual merit behind. You don't know what the developers have planned for the game's currently system. As far as earning versus buying from Xûr: Anyone who takes the time to make a thread about this subject has, without a doubt, unequivocally, ZERO idea of what RANDOM NUMBER GENERATED means... I have put a LOT of time into this video game, and have yet to receive a gjallarhorn. for me to be mad that a friend gets one who has played half of the time that I have, would be absolutely stupid and pointless. For me to be mad that Xûr sold the heart a praxic fire this week and that makes mine not as rare, would be absolutely stupid and pointless. In the end, let Bungie develop this game with constructive feedback, instead of pointless banter.
