Warlocks, answer me!
Now that I have your attention, I shall tell you of my dilemma, and ask for your opinion.
Before doing the Crota Raid, I promised myself that I would not wear the raid chest because of how bad it looks. Well, the universe decided that the first piece of armor I should be blessed with was Deathsinger's Mantle, with mediocre stats, nonetheless. So, I decided to wear it until I managed to get an exotic chest. First, I bought Starfire Protocol from Xur. And just today, I bought Voidfang Vestments, and managed to get the Heart of the Praxic Fire from an exotic Engram.
So, my question to you, my fellow warlocks, is which Exotic chest is best for PvE?
Should I praise the sun, dream of teeth, or become Starlord? And why?
Edit: After tons of advice, I have decided to focus on perks more than looks, so any future fireteams I join will benefit, as I will adapt to most situations. If anyone else has more advice, feel free to leave it so I'll become a better warlock.

2 通の返信That's really more of a playstyle thing. If you're a radiance whore who likes to lob grenades all day, Heart of Praxic fire with max discipline or close to that. Starfire frees up a perk if you like fusion grenades; it would be better if it worked like Armentarium because Touch of Flame with double nades is great crowd control. Void fang is if you like Axion Bolt. The grenade goes from good to asshole with Void Fang. It's also really good for spamming energy drain and works well with something that makes your grenade's refill melee energy and the Embrace the Void perk for Voidwalker.

1 返信Heart of Praxic Fire is the best exotic chest, but not the best exotic for warlocks. Obsidian Mind is incredible (wish I had that). Claws of Ahamkara are pretty awesome too. I'm only using Heart of Praxic fire while I max out sunsinger afterwards I'm switching back to void walker & claws of ahamkara.

1 返信I switch gear depending on what I need for example on crota hard I need to put on light beyond nemesis so I can regen health with orbs. Rest of the raid I rock hopf

2 通の返信I have all three chest pieces and obsidian mind. As sunsinger I use heart of praxic fire (13 grenades baby <3, over 300 discipline). Starfire protocol can be good if you go fusion grenade with ignite whatever and Viking funeral. As voidwalker, voidfang vestments is useless, I sharded my first, kept my second just to collect dust. Obsidian mind is what you need. And if you can get bad juju, even better. Nova bombs for days

1 返信I'd get over the looks of an armor you won't see anyway except for when you go to the start menu or dance, because the Obsidian Mind and Claws of Ahamkara are some really good pieces of gear. If you can't get over it I'd go for HoPF or PvE and VV for PvP

3 通の返信PvE? I guess Praxic. PvP? Voidfang. Next Iron Banner is rumored to have a chest piece that will bring you to 32, so I am definitely getting that. I have over 80 CE raid completions. If someone wants to call me a noob for wearing IB gear, I will laugh in their face. Male warlock raid armor looks fugly.

1 返信I like the SP for a sunsinger, but if I'm going to face a crapload of thralls I put on the raid chest and on the gloves of ahamkara for the double melee perk. Can't comment on VV as I don't have it, and just scored a HOPF so haven't leveled or played with it yet. But as soon as I land an obsidian mind, I'm throwing that on with raid and iron banner gear and going back to voidwalker and never looking back..

1 返信If we're talking about PVE, I use HoPF for fire or Obsidian Mind for void. I Don't find Voidfang to be very helpful in PVE and Starfire is an ok alternative if u don't have HoPF, but once u have I would use over Starfire any day.

1 返信Heart of praxic. Starfire isn't particularly good, voidfangs are good but if you're running voidwalker you're gonna wanna get yourself an obsidian mind.

1 返信Vestments for PvP, heart for nightfall/hard raid, obsidian mind for pve. Starfire for shard.

2 通の返信I normally wear raid gear w/ an exotic helmet - if hardmode, I'll use Light Beyond Nemesis, drop orbs like crazy, regen health. Void walker I love obsidian mind. I also have the 3 exotic chests, but don't use them much.

1 返信Hopf because it is highly wanted and you can rain the heat of the sun on your opponents with a blam load of fireballs! Nuff said!

3 通の返信If you use sunsinger: Heart Of The Praxic (I think that is how you spell it) Fire Voidwalker and handcannon: Voidfang NEVER EVER USE STARFIRE PROTOCOL IT IS HORRIBLE I use Hawkmoon and voidwalker so I use Voidfang 24/7

1 返信If youre a sunsinger, Heart of Praxic Fire is ideal. If you are void walker, VoidFang Vestments is amazing. Especially in PVP. (Supped up axion bolt and spawn with grenade energy?!)
