I don't see how the Thorn hasn't Been nerfed in Crucible yet
Honestly it's an Abseloute joke, The Thorn 2 shots, Hell it even 2 shots when you're across the entire map!!!! They say that the Thorn has terrible range, LOL the lies are just hilarious. The DoT on mark of the devourer is just INSANE! People were complaining it was underperforming, and it was, don't get me wrong, but now it's the most overpowered primary weapon in the damn Crucible! I don't care if this sounds like QQ, I want to start having fun in the crucible again and not getting Destroyed by the thorn. Go ahead and say I suck aswell and that I can't counter the Thorn (there is no apparent counter other than heavy ammo but that drops only 2 times a match). I'm actually good at crucible, go ahead and look at my stats. Any response to this poll saying I'm a QQer or terrible at Crucible will be laughed at. To those who are also suffering due to the Thorn, don't be afraid to post a poll of your own about it, the more who post, the more likely Bungie will see it.

I've died at the hands of a thorn user. Wasn't really pissed about it. Lag, whether accidental or intentional, is the only thing that brings out nerd rage in pvp. I maxed my thorn then got another thorn bounty so i haven't had a ton of pvp time using it. I did like using it the 5 or 10 matches i did though. Pretty bad ass gun. Never used a HC in pvp before i got thorn. No need for a nerf

No one says thorn has bad range even those who defend it like myself. It has send it to increase the range it's supposed to be that way. If thorns range is nerfed then the range of Suros needs knocked down to the level of abyss defiant (less than half). Auto are supposed to be the lowest range primary yet Suros has the same range as thorn. Yet people cry about thorn when hand cannons are supposed to out range autos.

1 返信Thorns damage and rage have never been touched the only thing they buffed was the reload speed and the cylinder got 3 more bullets. It's always been a very strong weapon. I don't see why people started complaining after the buff. For the record i don't think thorn needs a nerf.

I NEVER play PVP (I've played some the past few days, only due to running out of stuff to do throughout the week, besides raids and nightfalls) but I would say I could average about a 1.2 KD, because I used to play PVP at a good level (2.67 on COD:BO), I'm just not as quick as I used to be. But i got the thorn, and instantly was seeing many more 2-3+ K.D. matches. It's just too amazing. I've gotten so many kills by getting 3 body shots and being able to hide while the DoT takes them out. I wouldn't say it needs nerfed (9 is an average size clip for a pistol, but not that high. Also, reload speed is terrible)

I love Thorn. I use it alot in PVE. It is supposed to be powerful and not the same as every other weapon. Hence the reason why the bounty is alot of work. I will say the range may need to be reeled in. I have taken long shots that Are on par with a scout rifle. I think the upcoming weapons changes may address this. Other than that leave it alone!

6 通の返信Thorn is powerful because a lot of work goes into getting it. One of the roughest bounties by far. It's one of the guns that you work hard to get and when you work hard you expect a decent reward.

Thorn is good in good hands. Let that sink in. [i]Good Hands[/i]. That person wrecking you with Thorn is probably going to wreck you with any weapon they use. Personally, I use my Last Word or my Suros in crucible, and occasionally switch to my Thorn. My k/d (while not remarkable by any means) stays the same no matter what gun I'm using. In short, it's not the gun that's wrecking you. It's the player. Nerf the guardians!

4 通の返信some people seem to think using a certain weapon is a easy ticket to getting 50 kills a game, it isnt, you will not and you will be disappointed when you get to use one. suros is the easiest gun to use, it powerful and crit hitting is a piece of cake. And halkmoon is much better than thorn, and TLW kicks thorns arse at close range

12 通の返信To be honest, I cannot hate on thorn users, because the bounty for it is actually pretty tough. I'm still stuck in the pvp portion of it. I've also helped other people in the xur portion of it. Should I somehow break through and manage to complete it's bounty, you best believe that I'm going rock that bad boy in pvp.

1 返信I use the thorn religiously on my hunter and get mowed down by suros at range, and the mythoclast up close, you just have to know how to play against them etc. The most important part is getting the jump on the other player, and depending on how good your accuracy is sometimes you can win the gun fight even if they shoot first.
