Attack Damage vs Impact
Can someone definitively explain what determines damage in this game? Best yet, could Bungie just... put it out there so we know? I keep seeing different explanations saying completely different things. A straight, tested answer would be great.

EDIT 1: I also need to know, apparently, if Impact is the same across all weapon classes. Does my Pulse Rifle with the same impact as my Scout Rifle do the same damage per round (not per burst)? Again, how do we know? Anything confirmed?

Start with the over all damage. Takes away the 3rd digit and that is the weapon level 331 is lv 33 and 300 is level 30. That means your gun will do max damage up to that level. Second thing to add is impact. All weapons technically do the same damage but the ones with higher impact do more. So a hand canon with lower impact than the scout rifle will do less damage. The last thing to add is any buffs / elemental damage. Hope this helped
