DL games is not good b/c you cant sell it when you get done with it. A hard copy still has value after you buy it. If you Download a game it has no value after you buy it. So what can you do with your downloaded games when you stop playing them ? Nothing.
I'm def getting a hard copy of destiny.

The only away I would ever go digital is if the digital copy were offered at a significant discount. The savings of no packaging and printing a game disc should be passed to the consumer if the industry ever wants us to embrace digital as an acceptable alternative.

I will continue to purchase the physical disk until the day comes that they are completely obsolete and unusable, just having the disk in hand is a better feeling then a downloadable version of the game, but that's just my opinion.

3 通の返信I agree to an extent, but I never intend to sell Destiny. I still have all of the Halo games and they're not really worth anything now. With games like CoD, I get the physical copy because I know I'll sell it after playing the campaign.

I am not an idiot therefore I do not sell games I like just because I am "done" with them. You get ripped off by selling games anyway. Instead I get to keep Destiny on my PS4 and never have to insert or change a disc to run it.

1 返信We're shooting ourselves in the foot as gamers by continuing to buy hard copies. When we sell our old games back to gamestop. Then someone walks in finally ready to give destiny a whirl. Oh look at that I can buy it used for cheaper. Problem is our favorite game developers that make the games we love don't see THAT money. In this day and age where AAA titles aren't as popular as they used to be due to popularity of indie developers and mobile platforms (nothing against them), this is something I think would help keep the great minds continue to create deep rich amazing games.

Well i agree and disagree with you. For me a Game which i buy espeical full price like destiny... i just need Hardstuff... + bonus stuff thats why Limited Edition ! I dont really sell games that i buy... because Collecting is a Part of my Gaming Hobby. BUT i also buy Games on Steam or so... BUT that games cost extremly cheap so thats a diffrent thing... and if i love a game that much i will buy a Hardcase version anyway :D

As an adult with a decent job, I don't sell games anyway. I have hundreds of games and the last thing I need is more game discs and boxes cluttering things up. Game discs can be broken or lost, and then you can't play the game anymore. A flaming meteor could hit my house while I'm at work and I'd still have all my games as soon as I buy a new console or computer to okay them on.

Digital version is upgrade able. For this game anyway you can get it for both generations. $90 savings. But if is really important to you continue to waste your money at GameStop. http://www.destinythegame.com/digital-upgrade

1 返信I download games because I'm lazy and want to just play the game there and then rather than get up and eject my old disk and put a new one in 😂

If you download a game, the disc cannot get lost or damaged. It also saves you the annoyance of switching discs if you're an ADD gamer like me lol. In addition to this, being unable to trade games could be seen as a good thing. A long-term game like Destiny, for example, could get tempting to trade in between expansion packs. However, once the expansion pack comes you, you end up regretting the trade. Don't get me wrong, I still buy most games as physical copies. Anything that "ends", I buy on disc. Destiny doesn't end though, so I'm going digital.

14 通の返信Hot Juicy Pieにより編集済み: 9/1/2014 3:31:52 AMThere are online communities that trade digital licenses... Not to mention disk swapping is for plebeians, and running off an external SSD HDD blows disks loading out of the water. What is a loading screen? I've never seen one.

You can play them. You can delete them. Honestly, the idea that it only has value if you can resell it is misguided. If you played the game and enjoyed it, there was your value right there. Not everyone wants to sell the games they play. I know I don't. I have PS2 games I still play sometimes.

I personally don't mind downloaded games because I know that the company that makes them and all the people that built that game I love so much don't get money if I buy a second hand game or sell it for someone to buy. I have sold games before, so I am not gonna sit here and tell you that I haven't, but I always purchase my games new. I don't think there is anything wrong with it either way, that is just my personal opinion.

1 返信DevilStarrにより編集済み: 8/31/2014 5:02:32 AMin all honesty. ... I hate having to go across the room to change disks. I have medical issues that make doing this rather painful. so If all I have to do is push a button or two and play a game I'm all for it
