Much like EoF, Vanilla D2 launched in a state no one wanted and in a new direction no one wanted. Much like EoF, Bungie refused to listen to feedback and triple downed on their bad decisions until something happened.
The player population got so low and pre-orders for new content got so low that Bungie was scared that the studio would close down.
If you want another “Forsaken” moment in this game - history doesn’t repeat itself, but it rhymes…

Lol 9 years been seeing everyone with fist in air calling to boycott destiny till they listen to demands, just to see those same "fists in air" people with controllers playing the game on new launch after pre ordering game. Keep up the good fight guardians

1 返信If the pop drops bellow 10k they'll just end support for the game as by that point there arnt enough active players to sustain development costs.

I played a handful of hours last week. Not out of protest, just boredom. I usually hop on every day. Honestly, I’d play so much more older content, despite not having tiered gear, if the -blam!- legacy fireteam finder was available. Mass exodus.

2 通の返信Problem with that is it wont happen. Console armchair dad gamers keep this game alive along with the addicted pc gamers.

6 通の返信Considering I just got an email from Bungie to pre-order Renegades since they are desperate. I'll pass.

7 通の返信That’s what I am hoping for. Steam player count has been pretty low. Consoles need to do the same.

2 通の返信Lol that's not how game development works. The only way we'll get another Forsaken will be if the US switches from a capitalist economic system. Or if the board of directors at Sony decides they no longer want to maximize their profits.
