Between the infinite ad spawn, traps which were meant to be bypassed with seasonal bonuses and kill box encounter spaces. It's obvious bungie didn't think this through, especially now that banes are in the game.

That's why they are the old strikes conceived in a different era of the game. The newer stuff is different. Complete the objective swiftly and you won't have to clear all the waves for 15 mins. You can do it in 5.

Bungie is still putting out strikes, and they still follow the old formula. Again the difference between a strikes and a battle ground is BGs were meant to be semi difficult seasonal content which would be made easier through seasonal buffs. Take the warmind BGs. They have instant death lasers and slow traps, but durning that season you could get a vendor buff which made the lasers less lethal and disabled the slow traps. As a GM, it's incredibly dumb that your whole team could wipe because they accidentally touched a laser, especially on the Mars BG were your forced to make a jump through a very small door.

Yes..and now you have to time a single jump in order to not get roasted? Is that an issue that really ruins the game for you? BGs bring something different to the table. This forum is full of complaints about the game being stale but when something different exists, people are complaining again. BGs have an objective so infinite spawns make sense. In order to move on you have to complete the objective.

How infinite spawns make sense? I mean I you were a military commander and you lost half a battalion to a single squad, you you seriously think, "I'd better keep sending in more troops." Or would you do the smart thing and hold troops back to guard other crucial areas. Stikes have objectives as well, but they still have limits to the waves. It's much more likely bungie simply didn't play test BGs on GM difficulty.

Infinite spawns make sense because moving the payload is the prime objective. If there was no infinite spawns the payload would be pointless. You would simply kill everything and then move something to point B....

You mean like how 90% of the game is? Things like infinite spawns are just a cheap tactic to artificially increase difficulty. All that does is promote players to find cheesy tactics or builds which then upsets bungie and forces them to invest resources into patching or updating this older content. I mean the top 2 tactics for this week's GM BG are spamming invisible hunters or blinding stronghold titans. Then these players just camp on the objective rather than kill enemies. So how is that better than, kill ads, do objective?

There is a difference between tactics and cheese. Tactics would be having someone focus on snipers, while the other two slowly push forward with their good builds. Cheese would be spamming invisible, while your teammates hide. Which looking at your profile, I can see you too use cheese, rather than play the proper way. Which doesn't really give you any sort of high ground for your argument.

Welcome to the world of MMORPGs. And no - there's nothing "cheesy" about using efficient tactics, understanding the spawns and the pace of each encounter. Yes. You will be using probably whatever is most efficient (as a team). So if you're not ok with that, this game's not for you.
