I get that as the 1st 3.0 subclass, bungie felt Void was a little too hot compared to the other subclasses, but now that we have all 3.0 subs, I think it's time to buff void.
First, I feel there are way too many negative stat penalties for fragments, especially since often the penalty feels worse than the fragment benefit. For example: why does echo of undermining have a -20 stat penalty when spark of shock only has a -10 penalty or ember of torches which also has a -10 penalty.
Next let's talk about void power melee. I feel that shield bash is really the only useful power melee out of all 3 classes (mostly talking pve) I feel the following changes to be made to make the other melees more viable. For starters I feel these 3 melee should get a 25-30% damage buff (pve). Pocket singularity should give the player volatile rounds on void weapons in addition to making the enemy volatile. This could make some nasty ad clear builds with devour. Smoke bombs should attract combatants similar to how it affects player radar and it should suppress or disrupt making in addition to weaken, as this would let it serve as an overload ability. Finally shield toss needs a buff to travel velocity making it easy to hit enemies.
Finally, ability cool downs feel too long by comparison to their counterparts. I mean the average void grenade cool down is around 2 minutes and for how weak many of the melees are they have a 1.5 minute cool down. So I would like to see some of these cool down times reduced.

I think 30 void does need some new stuff, buffs maybe few But I do have a few ideas, so one of them being giving hunters a new void melee, giving them a spectral dagger (not the super) as a melee, having a decent range and on melee hit grants invisibility so it has something to help compete with the smoke bomb Void warlock, hmm I think a new cool melee would be similar to the strand one, letting you send three orbs out that can track things (not to an insane degree) and exploding when they hit, giving the idea that void is chaotic I think I can understand the want to lessen the negative effects of fragments, cause some over builds are harder to kill and are slightly more effective some times

15 通の返信I will respectfully disagree (shocking for this forum) and thoughtfully explain why I disagree. For the first point, Weaken is a much better buff than Jolt. Not only do Hunters get Weaken pretty exclusively, but you can get Voltshot so Weaken has a higher demand. And who’s gonna pick jolt over Weaken? Its benefits are much better. Second, the existing melees are fine, we just need another Warlock and Hunter one to add options. Smoke Bomb is perfectly fine how it is, especially when you use the aspect. Warlock has some Volatile Rounds focus so Pocket Singularity works well. It just needs options. Warlocks could use a close range melee and so could Hunters, maybe one incorporating the Spectral Blade for more damage. Titans I will say their shield throw is kinda wimpy but the overshield grant is underrated since it’s one of the best buffs in the game still. PVE damage buffs seem reasonable though. Maybe give them a new melee with the axes they’re getting for supers, since the theme of these aspects seems to be incorporating the supers to other abilities, which I like (see Ascension for Hunters coming). Thirdly, I know there was chat about the supers being minimal in damage for Warlocks, but for Void, it’s a support subclass. Hunters don’t get a lot of damage on their super, and since Tether is their only support super, Bungie realized they had to mark them do most super damage to make them worth running. I do think Warlocks should get a Well of Hunger super to give teammates Devour and Volatile Rounds as an alternative to Well of Radiance. Also combine the two Nova Bombs because it’s silly they’re different. Although for their sakes make it not track like Cataclysm since Arc Staff can block and reflect it unlike Vortex. Also to prevent Antaeus Ward from stealing your super. Finally, the grenade cooldowns are justified given that Suppression is quite powerful when it lands. And Weaken grenades having 1 minute cooldowns would be too strong. With improved linger times from the fragments it also makes Weaken easier to maintain on an enemy. From my observations, Void is the strongest subclass overall. Devour is still very strong despite the nerf for Hunters and Titans, Weaken and Suppression are good shutdown, and Overshield and Invis are still two of the strongest buffs in the game, probably only outclassed by Restoration with Ember of Empyrian. Also combine the fact that Void Breaches OR an orb of power can give Devour and drop from Weakened or Volatile enemies and you can keep Devour up for a long time for all three, like Ember of Empyrian. That’s already better than every other subclass besides Solar. It’s why Void was the most played subclass last year. It’s too solid not to. Survivability is king and Void has the most options with three buffs plus some of the best fragments on any subclass. Compared to Arc which has little to no buffs for team support or survivability, which arguably had the weakest 3.0 debut and only being carried by Titan and 2 Hunter builds. TL;DR - Void is best overall subclass for many reasons, but more abilities to give more options would be nice.

KalelKryptonianにより編集済み: 3/16/2024 4:56:31 PMFrom a pve point of view, I don't think void is any good at all on all 3 gaudian types from a attack perspective. Hunters spectral blades weak. Warlock nova bomb weak, titan shield bash weak. Melees weak , grenade week. Basically they all should be optimized for end game content because that's where the action is. From a pvp point of view. Melees are sub par because 2 unpowered can kill but 1 powered can't unless the opponent is damaged or really low resilience. That doesn't make sense to me. Grenades like pulse grenade are a joke because a person would have to stand there a few seconds to kill

2 通の返信I think another thing that hurt void 3.0 is that it didn't launch with the matching weapon perks. Solar immediately got Incandescent and arc got Voltshot and both subclasses have fragments that work well with them. Void didn't get Repulsor Brace until s17 and Destabilizing Rounds in s20 and both are inferior to Incandescent and Voltshot since you cannot synergize wtih your aspects/fragments or create void breaches.

4 通の返信JazzyPaladin477により編集済み: 3/16/2024 2:03:37 PMYes. Revert devour timer nerfs Let warlocks eat grenades for devour Make charged void grenades do more damage again Make volatile rounds do something, anything really, in PvP aside from turning your opponent purple. Edit: also get rid of grenade charging. Improved arc/solar grenades don’t need to be charged and are far more effective. Edit 2: give us another powered melee choice. Pocket singularity is worse than an unpowered base melee. The handheld supernova replacement (overcharged magnetic grenade) thing doesn’t even ohk.

41 通の返信Void warlock feels so weak and you're like 125k with your super meanwhile hunters are blasting things in the face for well over 500,000 with celestial

1 返信♤ TeaBags0614 ♤により編集済み: 3/15/2024 6:52:15 PMI really feel as if Warlocks need some way to consume their grenade to get devour Another idea I had was maybe they could consume their super for full health and a x2 overshield? Dunno how that would be tho lol
