I had not done any raids for years but had a basic knowledge of VOG so decided to give LFG a go.
After waiting for ages joined a group that had stated wanted experts but thought they may be a bit forgiving(bad decision) Joined at the end point damage phase and tried to help as not up scratch the abuse started. Did not even get chance to say sorry the abuse was non stop.
Yes my fault for joining when experience was stated but still no excuse for the abuse.
I just think players should be a little forgiving its a game after all.

Joining without meeting requirements is like digging your own grave, if you want the clear that bad make an LFG or FF of your own saying Need Experts and First Time that way someone can pick it up to teach you. To prepare your mind for the raid maybe watch explanations of encounters first via a destiny youtuber to get a rough idea of what needs to happen per encounter.

1 返信ABADDON_WOLFFEにより編集済み: 2/24/2024 2:20:46 PMSounds to me like a self inflicted wound. They stated experienced only and you joined so kinda selfish. Maybe they just wanted experienced people for a quick run and there you are joining and messing it up.🤔 Next time it you want a run on raids you have little to no experience create your OWN fireteam there are plenty of ppl willing to help.

1 返信I hope this thread gets pinned at the top of the board - as a WHAT NOT TO DO when joining a group on Fireteam Finder.

Sucks to get yelled at...but like you stated.."Bad Decision"..Now learn from it..and next time make your Own group. This is on you..own it.

I mean if the title says kwtd or experienced, then you caused them to wipe, you deserve all the hate you got. It's one thing when someone who doesn't meet the qualifications on the lfg post joins and is upfront with their lack of experience so the team can adjust or find a new player, but it's a whole other thing when you join stay quiet and cause everyone to wipe because you don't know what to do.

You admit to sneaky join a kwtd experienced players without knowing anything about the raid. You (and people like you) are the reason cause I quit gaming destiny 2 raids till maybe final shape. Let me explain my point. I’m in a smaller clan so we lack players to do raids. My fellow clan members found two other player saying to me “they are ok, trust them”. We started last wish…5 players…that’s ok after all isn’t that difficult, isn’t? Well: one player simply roamed around the map, NOT doing mechanics, NOT doing add clearing …when doing Shuro Chi he , on purpose, didn’t even try to jump on platforms….he just watched us die because one spot wasn’t touched. I died twice with him standing behind me…without even ressing me up! With a glaive in his hands. I was very upset…..so I looked at his raid report…and….oh my gawd, I discovered HOW BAD he was…barely BRONZE tier. Did he admit to be a nOOb? No Did he said “I don’t know what to do”? No I felt as my time in game being tossed in the trash 🗑️ I understand “it’s just a game “ but MY TIME ISN’T. I’m NOT A SHERPA. I’m NOT supposed to carry your lazy gaming skills. Period.

8 通の返信Two things here. Firstly, abuse / abusive behaviour isn’t ok so it is a shame you experienced that. Secondly you did join a “needs experience” post without the experience, that is frustrating for the others involved. You don’t know how long they had been trying or whether they needed a quick clear for whatever reason. If you want to do raids - I am doing raid teaching most Sundays from this week for the rest of the season. Happy to teach, guide or give someone a spot. DM me for details.

Few things going on. If you're joining mid damage phase, that's already a mistake on their part. Not getting the team set before starting. Idk how they can blame you in that instance. Did they ask for experts or experience? If the latter, you have that. If the former, they better be experts themselves. In which case, 5 "experts" should be able to communicate role/expectations mid run.

I see the abuse continues in the comments. You don’t deserve to be berated but you should also respect other’s wishes. Yes, this community should be more welcoming but newcomers should make an effort to start your own LFGs and specify that you need teaching. You’d be surprised how helpful some Guardians can be. If you’re still reading this, get off of this thread. I’m sure it’ll be riddled with more rude and callous statements. Best wishes.

jhermannITJにより編集済み: 2/21/2024 12:30:20 PMShould be but aren't... you learned your lesson too. And let's telegraph this a little bit... they pulled you in during DPS? Just you? Was it Atheon or Templar? Then they had to reset/wipe... don't see how that's your fault if you joined near the end. And then you received the brunt of the frustrations because they were failing. Is that what happened? You tried to fake it until you made it, lol. Got caught. There was a civil way to handle that situation, but you were walking into a storm. They should have just kicked you... they didn't need to go overboard. Next time make your own post, say you're new to it... ask for Sherpas. There's content creators that are known for being Sherpas... and they usually have discord communities dedicated to helping people. Don't try to brute force it... or you're going to find more experiences like this. Everyone started with one clear... you got 1 I saw, now the next... the next. Keep at it... just don't do this again.

Obi-Juanにより編集済み: 2/20/2024 3:10:47 PMDude i seriously will never understand why people like you will admit that you know you did wrong, you joined something you know you weren't supposed to but you think the inevitable consequences are worth making a post about? You disrespected people. They asked for something and you tried to take advantage of them. How about instead of saying "i think players should be a little forgiving" We say "Players should stop feeling entitled to a veteran players good will" If someone specifically asks for experience and expertise and you don't have that, don't join. I am so so so tired of people joining my KWTD raid runs who don't know what to do and we don't find out that that's the case until the very end where they say "wow thanks for the carry guys" It's beyond disrespectful. You're the toxic one if you do this. Not them.
