This game better be Poppin 24/7 or people will say it's doomed.
All the posts like the game just came out and should be providing another dozen hours of playtime that it hasn't.
It's also hard to understand why they aren't allowed to make two games or people wouldn't have expected them to have a different game that was fully this gen by about this time.
We are about to possibly enter some of the best times in D2 and some unfortunate things happened but the game is going to end up better than it was.

We have NEVER seen player numbers this low in either pve or PvP across all platforms. Not even Curse of Osiris. To be very clear, these numbers are as low as they got before Forsaken when they almost pulled the plug. This game is on life support and the only thing that can save it is Season of the Wish and The Final Shape. They could very pull the plug before Final Shape if Season of the Wish doesn’t pop off.

This doesn't strike you as somewhat alarmist? How many times have posts, articles and Youtube videos been made over the lifetime of Destiny 2 saying, "This is the end, the player count has NEVER been this low, the game is on its last leg, send in the hearse!" and yet here it is?

Because people keep coming back for the same reheated grey flavorless slop they served us last season, and the season before that mulitplied by 100. My biggest fear is that destiny won’t die, not any time soon at least. Because if destiny died right now, the cycle wouldn’t repeat itself. Bungie wouldn’t do something scummy or against the grain of their player base. the player base wouldn’t be in an uproar, scolding and screaming at bungie for their most recent “blunder”. Then bungie releases a statement with some variant of the phrase “we’ll do better”. We get decent enough stuff for maybe a season max! Then it’s back to the grey flavorless slop and counterintuitive changes that only hurt your community
