It feels like the vast majority of matches it feels like it just devolves into running around in a circle as a group…
You just keep rotating as the weaker team is chased by the better one. If you try to defend your zone you’re met with either a team of 3-4 that instantly shred you with no Allies around (weaker), or you just sit there for a minute (stronger)
If you try to cap the zone the enemy team just left and maybe get 2 to change the tide, you’ll still be standing there in the zone by the time your Allie’s rotate to the point you’re on. The solo zone cap is so slow.
If you try just running with your team you’re going to spend most of the match getting 1-2 shots on an enemy as they crumble under your team-fire.
I’ve yet to see a map this IB that doesn’t either do this or just become constant spawn flipping (Wormhaven).
Idk, just annoyed. Didn’t think I’d miss eruption or Fortress

The Hermit IXにより編集済み: 11/17/2023 3:25:46 PMNah I’m having fun. This is no different than years of IB. People don’t play the objective and want 25-35 kills in a match. That leads to people being upset they aren’t winning enough matches. Those people who are upset need to get a fireteam and play the objective. If you’re running solo have fun but don’t put heavy expectations on it.

2 通の返信no, i am cold as ice, enter a flow state, and have nothing but fun. i never tilt or complain about my teammates, the game mode, connection quality, or cheese. 👀

1 返信I think it mostly depends on the team, same as with control. For example a lot ofbplayers just -blam!- to run around and strike kills instead of actually playing control. More advance players actually play mode as it meant to be and mostly win.

My experience is that nobody plays the objective all they care about is the K/D When I’m the only one on A there’s a problem with your team at the very least should be 3 at A

Iron Banner is consider as a "Late Game" activity yet people also forget that it replaced control as a whole though its due to the progression people get that makes it feel like its a "Late Game" activity. Anyone will tell you this too or give you a similar answer to it "You play the game to win" due to winning giving more progression then losing (Similar to regular control) though your still given a "Certain amount" possibly just as good as winning. Checkmate (As I know) is gonna fix that issue as everything that is in there fixed what was truly wrong with PvP in general (Though way more then before) Special ammo was an huge issue to similar to how Destiny 1 had it but amplified by 3. Since Fusions really can still kill in almost a 12m Range (Which logically shouldn't be happening) Shotguns can still one shot kill none the less of the slide nerf nor AE nerf for it. Snipers were completely nerf to the point of it being useless but still an optional weapon to use for longer ranges. (Which hasn't still been great so far) With also how big the meta is too for certain weapons almost any other "Alternative Weapons" are completely useless compare to their big brother counter parts.

1 返信I gilded my Iron Lord title three times before but I just gave up this time. Iron Banner is just not worth the time.

3 通の返信Nope, mainly because I I haven't been playing IB. Been finishing guiding Dregden instead. I found myself preferring eruption over control, so didn't bother this time.

3 通の返信Just wait until checkmate everything. Time to kill is going to be even longer and abilities even more sparse. Elbow to elbow will be the only way to play.

9 通の返信No, because I don't play IB since BungLe decided a neat feature would be to not only mark you for the enemy team, but then blow you up if you can't get a kill every few seconds.

2 通の返信Sometimes you just have an epiphany and realize that.. ...hand cannons are the most super skilled highly aim dependent guns that only the best players can use right.

It's not the maps, it's sbmm. It is terrible for IB, control, and literally every other mode except maybe comp. Everyone who plays a decent amount of PvP hates it yet bungie is adamant on keeping it in and doubling down on it. Sbmm has never worked before and who knows how long it will take before they remove it again.

elitegtryin to work with whats left.. for now - 4/3/2026 12:46:30 PM
I enjoyed it more when I made it totally about testing weapons I usually don't (that one sniper you kept around and its just taking space see if it can be deleted).. otherwise you gotta go in with a solo mindset to be the tanky one that saves that one CP so you don't get hunted. Iron Banner draws a different crowd.. and you get stranger gamelplay than usual Control. You might be right.. its even hard to say it.. might eruption and fortress be better (maybe without weapons to chase they are all like this)?
