Ill be honest id rather be doing master mode raids than content that focuses on tiers to just be basically grandmasters is a pointless aspect with no new reward actually its all just brain power of bungie to add stupid stuff like that

1 返信45% revenue miss, I’d say with how many people dropped off after lightfall it must be a lot. The whole “make destiny challenging again” was a miss for a majority of the community which probably explains the massive miss bungie had because a huge amount of the player base has dropped off. Not just because of lightfall but because there’s been so many solid AAA releases this year. I think it’ll get worse come next season if it’s really going to be 6-7 months long if the final shape delay is in-fact legit.

Destiny is a snowflakes game, hopefully the people behind the change to make the difficulty increase have been laid off and hopefully sony will make the change to bring the people back to the game, still on the bright side, only 1 more season to reach season rank 100 than I can -blam!- this game off forever, just gutted I bought the annual pass this year cos I definitely ain't buying no more -blam!- from bungie

17 通の返信Harder content is NOT made new players, lol What do you expect, is made for veterans of the game and eventually it promotes new players getting better so you can do end game activities.

Well bungie fired the lady behind all that . Looked good on paper but it didn't have the player retention. New players said no fun and walked. Those of the player base that have played this game for so long that everything is easy . Should probably shop around for a new game that challenges them. Inflated Difficulty don't pay the bills unfortunately. If veteran players want the game to be a sweat match every run. Then that will be a hard thing for cash flow. They should just make a few activity's that are so difficult nobody can finish them, like a insane game mode or something thats just to keep everyone happy.

1 返信One thing that would be better for Destiny moving forward is to stop focusing on 6 player raids and focus on better and more 3 player dungeons/raids. Raids take massive amounts of time and development for an event that a very small part of the player base even plays. Most don't have 6 guardians consistently or don't prefer to do lfg. If this focus went more on 3 player based raids/dungeons they would be easier to develop and more attractive to a wider range of the player base. And the simple fact that most people would rather play activities as a trio. Its just a better co-op experience and easy to have a consistent fireteam.

8 通の返信They need to go back to Destiny1 with more choices, easy, normal, hard, legendary, master... Some people want to play like it was Halo, gun blazing master Chief fun.

5 通の返信A friendly reminder for making things easier What happened to year 1 in destiny 2? We had no random rolls, nothing to chase and all the casuals that were playing, they beat the story and all quit at the end.

Justin68687112により編集済み: 11/6/2023 12:19:20 AMBungie said in the Shadowkeep ViDoc that they were from now on going to focus on the hardcore veteran players because they learnt that new players aren't what is supporting Destiny. Why do you think New Light quest is as bad as it is after all this time, they haven't bothered to make the New Light experience better? If you look at the tracked accounts on stats trackers like Destiny Trackers, new players don't really exist. There's maybe a handful of new accounts once and a while. People know Destiny says Free 2 Play but Bungie is infamous for their toxicity, the amount of people that were forced into quiting and people realize there is a $290 USD paywall to get caught up on content. Neomuna being difficult enemies is simply the fact that there really isn't new players on Neomuna. Personally I love challenging enemies, where I can see a difference between using a primary and using heavy, instead of planets where I never use my super cause I never think I need to when everything dies in one shot. But there is a certain level of difficulty that isn't even fun. When they made nightfalls harder, it wasn't even fun. Being killed in one shot is not what fun is. Luckily the increase to difficultly everywhere was rapidly rolled back, but Neomuna seems to be left as is. I think it has to do with them designing Neomuna when they were planning on increasing difficulty in every activity and Neomuna is actually coded from the ground up with stronger enemies and it is too much work to fix. With other aspects they just scaled things, but I think Neomuna's core itself is based upon the intense difficulty.

3 通の返信Nope, what Bungie did was remove all the Middle-Difficulty options. With lightfall, they made legend much closer to Master and Heroic much closer to base. Legend used to be the difficulty where you could still be challenged but enemies couldn’t one-shot you. Where builds could really shine at point where they weren’t pointless like lower tiers but could still function and thrive unlike higher tiers. Legend became a slog while Heroic became a joke. Higher tier players don’t have their easier but still engaging content anymore. Casuals don’t have that aspirational but still achievable content. The gulf between east and hard has never been wider with no difficulty or content to bridge the gap.

The game definitely needs to focus on enjoyment more than achievements right now. Of course one can lead to the other but right now a larger portion of the game might be saying to people "this just isn't for you" than ever. And even though I like the stuff that was done this year nothing in this game looks right if people aren't there. Even if you're a solo player.

I suspect the harder difficulty chased some guardians away, but I think there is more to it than that. I've largely stopped playing due to being forced into using specific builds or classes. For me, tweaking the crap out of builds and chasing god rolls is boring. It also seems to be related to the difficulty issue. Those that max out their gear seem to be the same ones that complain about the game being too easy. That being said, Bungie has all the data and should know what changes caused guardians to move on.
Harder content isnt good for new players
Yes, harder content is not good for new players. Hence why we have normal mode.

2 通の返信Id rather have no revive token hard mode raids back actually those actually stood a real challenge and real rewards No revive tokens you needed to stay alive

6 通の返信jhermannITJにより編集済み: 11/5/2023 3:36:56 AMGMs are the best endgame content in the game. They may not be the set pieces that raids and dungeons are... but it's a space that is rewarding & challenging... but still extremely accessible. All you need is skill... you don't need a clan... you don't need to be on the crest of every new release or risk being locked out. Without a sherpa... it's hard for new players to learn older content, because 1-2 weeks post release the expectation is that you're experienced... and acquiesce to the constrained and limited meta (These guns, these loadouts... this way). So, it is my belief, that applying the GM design philosophy to other content... IS EXACTLY what this game needs MORE of. More things like tier 7 deep dives, tier 3 altars, & Legendary Haunted Sectors... they provide the opportunity for growth and accessibility that is only limited by the players' individual skill. If you can "hang"... you can use and play how YOU want. Tldr, I disagree 😇 👍💠 I can play GMs however I want. Why? Because I've developed the skills in order to do so. The other night I joined a Moon BG GM... the times I've done it previously we just stay in for the ghost cap. And my team left me in there... I died... it was a nightmare, they soaked 5 rezs getting me up. Dude types in text chat, "Warlock looking cute right now". We end up wiping that run. It was my 1st run on 😁. Next 2 runs... I'm grabbing his rez over & over. I probably prevent 10 wipes over those runs getting both up... I wouldn't say I carried, but without me those clears ain't happening... and I wasn't on Invis, or Well, or BoW... any of the stuff tubers say you should use for that BG. Any raid I get kicked before the encounter even starts... In GMs you can tell in about 2 mins if someone has chops... regardless of loadout or weapons. Which, unlike other endgame, allows me to experiment and play exactly how I want. It's ironic, because a lot of the quote best PvE players dunk on GMs for being uninspired... artificial difficulty, I find it to be the exact opposite. It allows me in less than 20 minutes actually achieve real progress... refining my ideas & skillset ... with generous loot. And all it requires as a solo player is the skill & knowledge to do so. I can run what I want, I can play how I want. And even though, objectively... outside of contest, the most difficult content in the game. Other Destiny endgame is different, less challenging, less accessible... and so cookie cutter. That's "uninspired" to me.

You don’t like content that focuses on tiers, what? What is a grandmaster? The NF? No new rewards from GMs? You prefer master raids to GMs? I just don’t get it.
