Difficulty is fine honestly just needs MORE OPTIONS. Not everyone should be subjected to playing on higher difficulties in basic strikes or patrol. While vice versa I should have the option to play on increased difficulties.
The difficulty changes should only be in Master and GM Nightfalls, all raids, all dungeons, and other endgame content with OPTIONAL difficulty option lower tier content.
Rewards need overhauled to match the difficulty option chosen.

I don't find them hard either but others do, the easiest solution is multiple difficulty levels with varying rewards. Wouldn't hurt me and only benefits the players who struggle due to whatever their reasons may be

Not sure myself but judging by the complaints throughout almost all social media some people are clearly finding it difficult lol I'm just working under the assumption they mean the low-level nightfalls or maybe they dislike the resil nerf idk

Mara Sov’s Step Broにより編集済み: 3/10/2023 3:55:32 AMWe had “more options” before. The options were fine. The people who want to be challenged for the best rewards can enter GM and Master Dungeons and Raids Things like lost sectors didn’t need their difficulty increased. A lost sector shouldnt take more than 5 minutes in master due to its incredibly low drop rate and yet here we are. If people want the highest efficiency and the highest rewards those difficulty levels exist in more challenging content. The number one complaint with lost sectors from casuals and mid core people were how many runs they take to get exotics. Hardcore players who want challenge don’t run lost sectors for exotics - they run GM for high stat rolls. So what justifiable reason is there for keeping the same reward structure and making an activity that is already tedious for casuals and mid core players even more tedious? If people wanted challenge and better rewards the systems already existed. All this update has done is make things more difficult for casuals and mid core players who either don’t want to be challenged or aren’t skilled enough and it does absolutely nothing for the people who do want challenge and are skilled enough because the content they were running prior has remained entirely unchanged and the content that was changed has no incentive for them to run. All this has done is serve as gatekeeping by making things more difficult and making gear carrying impossible. Gear carrying is not a bad thing. It raises the floor for lower skilled players to be useful with higher skilled players and it keeps activity populations healthy. This update lowered the floor and even further increased the gap. That is never a good thing for the health of a game and it’s activities. It’s an incredibly punishing design philosophy.

Sherpaにより編集済み: 3/9/2023 11:40:53 PMThat's basically what I said lol I just also think regular strikes and patrol should have a "master difficulty" option as well so the base options aren't touched. GM and Master raids definitely needed tweaked and made harder than before imo. I'd even be happy with a difficulty past GM that awards cosmetics like shaders, ornaments, emblems, etc.

Patrol is fine on Neomuna and it’s the one activity that was changed that is universally played by both low and hardcore players. The issue is the power cap is way too high so players new to the zone have far too unbalanced experience. It’s still significantly more challenging than EDZ when at appropriate power, but it’s not too challenging. The power cap should be dropped to 1600 with a -5 delta so the experience is consistent from the moment you land on the surface.

Exactly. Bungie, I thought you were all about accessibility? What is the harm of giving more options? Yes, everyone's definition of fun is different, so why not make that a possibility for all. You can thank social media and the rampant epidemic of narcissists for this mess.

A_moにより編集済み: 3/9/2023 4:47:16 PMI they were going to keep the difficulty changes for only the high level team content wouldn't it be better to just return stuff like normal strikes to the game instead of reverting everything? That way solo players can also play stuff that's more engaging than normal strikes or zombie patrols.
