Guess this infinite ammo nonsense is inspired by GM’s ???
If you ran out of ALL ammo the game would grant you special or heavy after a short time
Well that probably won’t happen going forward since you can’t run out of ALL ammo types
Nothing more fun than taking down bosses with unlimited primary ammo
Also don’t forgot no more double ammo scavenger mods either so economy for special and heavy should be worse
I can’t speak for everyone but I am always searching for ammo when running GM’s and not looking forward to the changes…
It’s good in 1 way but it means in GM’s and the likes you’ll actually have to do ammo runs rather than use all your ammo up to get it refunded. Could make for some hairy moments if your the last Guardian standing.
Is there a downside to this now that you can't ever run out of ammo so game won't auto fill secondary and and heavy bricks that are out of reach or missed ?

I agree on this one. This is just my own opinion, but I think this is more of a QoL change.
I can see some negativity coming from the community about it. But they are wrong.
Primary Ammo shouldn't be a problem in a game where we have a backpack that could carry a multitude of things all at a given time. Just take a look at our gear that we carry. In our weapon's department, we carry 10 primary guns, 10 special guns, and 10 heavy guns on our person. Then in the armor department, we carry 10 helmets, 10 gauntlets, 10 chest, 10 leg, and 10 class items. Then we carry 1 ghost and 9 of it's shells. Then we carry an inventory of consumables and currencies, glimmer, bright dust, spin metal, shards, and what not, all by the THOUSANDS!
And despite of all of these that we could carry in our person, are they saying we can't carry huge amounts of primary ammo? Is it really that impossible to believe that we could carry enough ammo even for just one gun, even if we could make ourselves believe that we could carry all of these other things with us in battle?
It's not impossible. And it doesn't have to be infinite ammo. It's just an easy figure to come up with and pretend that we are capable of carrying enough ammo in battle to keep us going knowing that we can carry all these other things by the THOUSANDS in our person while in battle.
It's easy to believe that we could carry enough ammo. It doesn't have to be infinite. But it's easy to believe that we can carry more than enough to keep us going without running out because we can do it anyway based on all the unimportant things that we are already carrying with us anyway. Infinite is just an easy way, a symbol that indicates we have the ammo with us anyway.
It's a videogame. Everything here is make believe.
Lastly, I see some comments that because of this Bungie might nerf the other 2 ammo drops to special and heavy weapons. Now why would Bungie do that? Infinite primary ammo is a QoL update. It's suppose to make life convenient for the gamer. If they punish gamers by nerfing the other 2, it's like fighting your customers. Why would they do that? You don't fight your customers, you're not suppose to. That's the worst thing to do.
I'm not saying Bungie is not capable of doing that, but why would they do that? I know it happened before. But this is not the right time to do it. I think the game is in a delicate spot right now, and if they fight the customer by giving them infinite primary ammo and then take it out on special and heavy by punishing these drops is the worst thing they could do right now.
I don't think this is what they're aiming for, but we'll see.
I fear for the Crucible. Just imagen, the new meta being 6 stack of Titan with actium and sweet Buisness never reloading, never stoping, never ending stream of bullets cause infinite ammo. XD gonna be wild for a bit i think :)
Do you see the beauty of it? The inevitability? You’re buffed, only to be nerfed. You, Guardians, you are my meteor. My swift and terrible sword and the Last City will crack with the weight of your failure. Purge me from the consensus; turn the people of the city against me. It means nothing! When the dust settles, the only thing living in this world... will be the Rat King!
