Forsaken was the peak of D2
We had weapons to chase ( nf, Luna, recluse ,outbreak etc)
Pvp sandbox was fun and was cbmm
Pve was fun and your guardian was powerful
We were not trapped in a bounty simulator waiting for more and more nerfs which is what the game is today.
I don’t understand how the game rebounded so well after year 1 to only be pure trash to once again in year 3.

3 通の返信That's cause pretty much anything good that came from warmind all the way to opulence wasn't made by bungie, what bungie are capable of is Year 3 an this seasonal crap. We all thought CoO was the lowest point in the franchise, season of the worthless just said hold my beer.

1 返信It’s simple... Forsaken is not a product of Bungie, they brought in another studio to do most of it, Bungie doesn’t have that kind of talent anymore. That’s why we have these crappy seasons, it’s what Bungie is capable of on their own.

1 返信Peaches Pan Taoにより編集済み: 4/11/2020 2:24:14 PMFor a brief and glorious time, bungie shifted somewhat from it's usual nerf frenzy, and focused on making other weapons great. But it didn't last long. At the end of the day, it's simply easier to nerf something, rather than buff something else, and possibly upset the balance of the game in other ways as a result. Bungie could really take a card out of Warframe's playbook when it comes to power creep: Digital Extremes rarely ever nerfs anything into oblivion overnight. They gradually reduce a weapons power level over a period of months, so players dont suddenly loose all the time they've invested in a specific weapon.

3 通の返信Simple. The two studios known as vicarious visions and high moon that practically did majority of the work are gone.

I honestly think that Bungie and the director are so salty after a Skylander Studio did a better Destiny game than Bungie. I think they are trying to undo everything great the Activision studios created just because Bungie thinks they can do better, which they obviously can't. Activation Studios made the game friendly fun and rewarding. Bungie makes it unfriendly competitive and punishing.

5 通の返信I’d disagree on one point. SBMM in comp has been a huge improvement over CBMM. So much more fun to play against people at your own skill level. Best decision Bungie ever made. Outside of that, I agree with every point.

30 通の返信It is because Activision was actually holding Bungle to a higher standard for the game. That is why since the split, the game has gone down hill fast

2 通の返信I'd pay double the money for Destiny if it allowed them to invest in the resources necessary to deliver more Forsaken level content.

1 返信Bungie is like a Wish Dragon... they "technically" fulfill our wishes, but there's ALWAYS a catch... Want matchmaking for activities? Here's Guided Games. Don't like Elemental Affinity? Now you can switch affinities... it'll only cost ALL your mats. Feel the need to have new weapons to play with? Ok, now your gear will expire so you can try "new" things. I don't know if it's the fact that they use "data" to make the decisions or if it's the need to appease influencers, but they really seem clueless when trying to act on players' feedback... They always ALMOST get it right... but always -blam!- up the landing. I wouldn't be surprised if they doubled down on Taken content since the two most beloved expansions they put out (The Taken King and Forsaken) revolved around them, ignoring the REAL reasons why those expansions worked...
-
Because they quite literally nerfed everything into the ground. The loot, the story, the expansion model, the weapons, the interest, and most of all the love for this game. But of course Eververse seems to be the only one healthy and strong during the game’s slow death.

1 返信They made it free to play so they could boost numbers and that blew up in their faces because now it’s another war frame fortnite ftp phone games

MC 077 Lasombraにより編集済み: 4/11/2020 4:03:54 AMActivision left. They wanted the game sales and they made sure the game was what people wanted to buy. Bungie decided to got F2P to get mtx transactions but it’s vastly easier content to make for pure profit. That the split happened not long before the new 100 million deal, followed by this downgrade in development? Seems like they are writing the game off essentially as just a Eververse cash cow to fund them while they work on a new ip. Makes sense since most of these people didn’t like D1. Soft reboot, remember Luke Smith?

1 返信Niinja Slayerにより編集済み: 4/10/2020 8:36:34 PMForsaken was made by Activision, Shadowkeep was made by Bungie. Activision was resources and oversight. Now that Bungie is independent, they are on their own. Just go play Warzone or something on MW.

12 通の返信Because forsaken was actually destiny 2 downfall not it’s uprising. Forsaken turn the game into destiny 1. An if you couldn’t figure it out. Pvp killed destiny 1 because of constant nerfs to weapons and abilities for the sake of trials and balance to pvp. An that’s what has happened to destiny 2. Because of pvp balance and now trials weapons and abilities will be nerfed because of that. An I’m seriously minusing endgame being the reason why certain weapons and abilities getting nerfed or having perks nerfed or reworked because of streamers and youtubers being forced to play a more challenging worlds first making causal games suffer because of bungies bullshit. Forsaken was the start. Season of unworthy was the nail in the coffin.

1 返信Turns out Activision for all it scummy practices really was what was keeping Bungie in check
