I keep getting this error message every couple of days. It's listed under "known problems" with two possible solutions, none of which work for me. I am not running Destiny as an administrator, and I do not have the file steam_appid.txt anywhere in my install. At first, I thought the error happened when entering a new area, but a few minutes ago, it happened after standing still in the Tower for several minutes. The worst is when it happens just as I start a matchmaking activity, as I appear to my fireteam as one of those who leaves right at the start of an activity. I try my best not to be an a-hole, but this error makes me appear as one. I hope it can be fixed as soon as possible.
