i kinda hate crucible now. seriously, hand cannons were in such a good spot. could've buffed everything else while keeping other hand cannons cool but N A H.

Wahhhh my hand cannon doesn't win at literally any range for every engagement wahhhh. Now I have to "use skill" and "select an appropriate area to fight" when I could just rambo around any old place before. As a scout main, I feel so sorrow for you.

What Bungie said: “reduce the effectiveness of the range stat on high range hand cannons”. What Bungie meant: “reduce the effective range of all hand cannons by ~25%”. Max range hand cannons damage falloff dropped from ~34 to ~26 meters. That would be fine, but the low range hand cannons had their maximum range affected by about the same amount. It’s pretty frustrating trying to do the not forgotten quest with Lunas when the range drop off on that low range hand cannon begins around 8 meters past shotgun one hit kill range. With accuracy still being tied to the range stat, many shots that would have been hits are now misses, and it’s a lot harder to counter rushers.

6 通の返信Handcannons are a lot better now since they got rid of the ghost bullets. You’re probably just using them like it’s a scout rifle get closer that should work kid.

2 通の返信Max range Handcannons out-ranged a significant number of Pulse Rifles, when in reality they should only consistently or range Autos. Glad someone put them in their place

2 通の返信I’m just curious why you think buffing everything else would’ve made a difference ? If you’re making the claim that you could no longer compete with hand cannons, if they did buff everything else then how would you be able to compete with the hand cannon at that point ?

2 通の返信I agree I love using a hand cannon in the crucible. Not playing the crucible. If I can’t use a hand cannon I actually don’t want to play it. It’s so boring landing with a pulse or scout, who finds that fun? The hand cannon nerf was over the top and probably done to appease all the bad players who wanted to not have someone push them all the time.

1 返信I do not mind the range nerf. What I DO mind is: - damage nerf in its optimal range - shadow cost to recoil increase - shadow cost to decreased handling - decrease precision damage in general

Hand cannons were always supposed to be a low-mid range, high impact weapon. They were too high range, easily able to shoot at as much of a range as scouts/pulses, meant to be mid-high range, with mid-low impact. The nerf makes complete sense, as much as I like hand cannons, the range was a bit excessive for their intended purpose. [spoiler]But I guess siding with Bungie makes me a fanboy sheep or whatever \_(ツ)_/ [/spoiler]

4 通の返信Haven’t had any issues using HCs. They don’t map people like before, you have to adapt to their new range.

1 返信Hand cannons have been the preferred weapon since D1. I think Bungie wants to change things up a bit.
