Luna nerf is BS
I can’t believe you caved again. You have made it clear hard work and dedication mean nothing in your game.
I should have know this would happen. You guys had to nerf the lasers in the reactor room when the game launched because it was too hard.
Edit: With Trials gone and Pinnacle weapons on the chopping block, there is no reason for a PVP player to remain.

Players with higher skill levels can wade through the competitive playlist, and they finally get the gun. The problem is that Luna’s howl does not take much skill or effort to use, despite requiring both to acquire it. Especially on console, Luna’s howl is incredibly dominant. It has no bloom at all, good aim assist, reload, handling, and of course an optimal time to kill at all but extremely long ranges. It’s also a legendary, leaving room for something like Wardcliff. It makes almost every other primary completely obsolete, and it’s done so for the better part of a year. One would imagine that the pinnacle weapon would require the user to utilize their skills for great reward, but guns like Luna and NF are some of the easiest to use in the game. My next point. Don’t you [i]want[/i] to see a change in the meta? Over 10% of all kills in PvP are LH. You can see this on destinytracker.com. Is an 8 month long meta with a perfectly stable handcannon with optimal ttk at all ranges truly enjoyable? People say the Luna nerf will drive a bunch of players away. The irony is that [u]loads[/u] of players were already driven away from crucible due to LH/NF spam in quickplay. Bungie probably hoped that those who earned the guns would stay in the competitive playlist, but the opposite appears to be true. Most people who earn the gun take it straight into quickplay, and that poses obvious problems to anyone who has yet to acquire it. Many people have been saying that Bungie should just buff everything else to LH/NF level, but this poses huge problems. Making changes that big would fundamentally change what destiny PvP is. Then when a new meta is established, everything else would receive yet ANOTHER buff, and eventually this game would turn into CoD, where everything kills everyone instantly. By that point it wouldn’t be destiny PvP anymore. And to the “git gud and adapt” crowd, people have been trying to “adapt” for 8 months. So why is it still so dominant? Because the combination of higher skill players running a low skill/high reward weapon, and those lower skill players running higher skill/lower reward weapons leads to an obvious victor, especially when the former players are in the casual playlist. Of course, this all just my opinion, and I’m open to other people’s thoughts any time.

They should have added some sort of PvE pinnacle weapons that were just as powerful as Luna's and NF if only to give non-PvP players a way to counter Luna's and NF users in the Crucible. But no, it's easier to nerf. They are just gonna piss off another segment of the Destiny community and push even more people away. Sigh.

Finally the most OP broken and easy to use guns with not recoil at all will be nerf. For the record i got my Lunas months ago as a solo player playing 100% solo matches but the Luna + NF meta is really boring to me and i leaved Destiny 2 for that reason about 02 months ago. I hope the Crucible return to be fun place again with more variety. In other hand the abuse of high skills players with Luna or NF to noobs or far less skills players that have no means to compete with those guns will stop.

4 通の返信U cant honestly sit there and say the 2 guns weren't broken. Their precision hit box is twice the size of any other Precision Frame HCs. It's one thing to be upset. It's another to act shocked. The only thing shocking is how long this took to actually happen.

2 通の返信There is reason for PvP players to remain, the same reason PvP players always apparently had, the game is supposedly fun. Pinnacle weapons ruined PvP, particularly the competitive ones, the PvE and gambit ones are fine but underpowered. Luna's is questionable but it can be obtained, it's just harder than it needs to be given the state of competitive. Not Forgotten is different again though, it's busted and has far more range than Luna's and does the same job but from further away. Pinnacle weapons shouldn't be a part of the game if it means less of the general population are having fun cause that means less players and that results in sweaty games and last I checked, all the sweaty players at the top complained about that to big daddy Bungo so they changed it for them, helping PvP become what it is now. If you need another reason beside fun for destiny's PvP, you should go to a real competitive game, cause this isn't it. Bungie tried competitive and it has never been fair and as I said before, adding pinnacle weapons made it far worse, so much so that the entirety of PvP has been suffering. Accept the change, let's have a new meta and maybe we'll have some fresh fun for a bit. Pinnacle weapons shouldn't lock anyone out of obtaining them the way competitive does.

10 通の返信Lunas Howl gives a player an unfair advantage. If the gun was only usable in PVE and Comp playlist I would be okay with it staying as it was. Problem is it made quick play not enjoyable. Quickplay is now a sweat fest for the majority of PVP players hence why you see the numbers falling daily. Maybe take a break till the next season.

2 通の返信This nerf drastically cuts down it's damage in pve since the perk wont buff critical damage. When Magnificent Howl procs, that gun drops majors like crazy and deals hella dmg to bosses.

I love how everyone is talking about Luna ( because it's hard to get but not at all impossible) but not NF. NF for me would have been if Hell had a hell. I skipped it. I was just barely able to get Luna when it came out.

2 通の返信I agree this is b.s. My clan leader is thinking of quitting the game because of this, and I'm thinking of joining him. Every time I get a weapon I like bungie nerfs it. Still pissed that escalation shotgun got nerfed into oblivion and made irrelevant. Now it is lunas/nf turn. I think the problem is multi-layered. Matchmaking still sucks, trials needs to come back to relive the tryhard pressure in the crucible, point deduction needs to be turned off in comp so that everyone can make progress( lose no exp/ win get exp) for those guns, and freaking BUFF ALL WEAPONS. Stop nerfing everything into the ground only to tweak it later. 150 hand cannons suck. If bungie really makes those 2 the only 150 hand cannons, then all other hand cannons are getting nuked too. Where is the fun in that? My time is valuable, just like everyone else's and I won't stand for another case of F#$K YOUR TIME IN THE GAME again.

No reason to play PvP because you can't abuse a weapon that made every other gun obsolete? Have you ever used Broadsword, Mountaintop or Recluse? There will be more Pinnacle weapons to come and, based on the last couple, they will be more balanced than current LH/NF could ever hope to be.
