...and why it never will be as good as d1.
The fun part about d1 - at least imo - was, that you could get insane plays by outskilling your opponent. Whether it was by outgunning someone with a luna or quickscoping or outplaying someone with a shotgun. D1 never really had reaaalllyy broken things, the only things I could think of were Pocket Infinity, Thorn and for a really short time vex mythoclast. Outgunning felt great because of the unique gunplay that destiny has, especially hand cannons. Snipers felt great and had a pretty fair amount of flinch. The maps were made for 6v6/3v3 abd were fitting. Not all of them, but many.
Destiny 2 on the other hand is the opposite.
Op weapons rule the game:
Lunas howl, not forgotten (have it, at least on console its by far the best weapon)
180s are generally speaking really boring weapons, which arent fun to use, and I miss the uniqueness of the d1 handcannons.
Also there are other weapons that are more op, because they literally dont require any skill to use. Telesto and Wavesplitter have no skill gap, anyone can be good whith them.
Also in general I think grenade launchers are a bad thing. Destiny never was about explosives and heavy. Of course, heavy is a part of the game but in d2 its too prominent. Nade launchers dont add much to the destiny experience. Also I think supers need a nerf because supers seem unkillable at some times. In d1 you could always get a trade by shotgun/melee or a sniper headshot. Also the super mods give too much super energy which ends up in everybodys using five of them. I think the reason why bungie brought so many op things in the game is because the community wanted hero moments. But as we all know, bungie devs arent the best at pvp so the only things they were able to get hero moments with are now in the game. At least I think that the community wanted something different: hero moments because of skillful plays. Not because you are simply unkillable in your super. Another point is that the maps in d2 are not fitted for the gamplay. The old maps are often too small, while the new breakthrough maps are literally the worst maps that have been in destiny. In general the gameplay is not exciting to play and to watch. Also trials is really important for destiny and its time for it to return. I honestly care about destiny and I want it to be good, I had such a great time but its just hard to enjoy nowadays.

1 返信I deeply dislike 180s I don't have luna but I'm also not using any other 180s, imho it's profanity of how HC should behave. I've said it in other post but I'll said it again, 180s feels like HC from CoD >toys< Also Bungie has tipped the scale of "awesomeness" bit too much to other side, nobody asked for "I'm a god" lvl of game in crucible, I like to have few supers in a match but it's tad to much at times. Secondly I wonder how they going to balance trials with all those exotic in the wild since ppl will be exploiting game as always.

Hmmm I can agree to the 180's point because I agree, they really don't feel like Hand Cannons. They seem more like suped up side arms. I much prefer 140's and 150's because those actually feel like HAND CANNON's. Ya know big ole pistols that hit like a truck and have some good recoil to em.

1 返信I don't like that my hammers can't one hit a Dawnblade super but they can one hit me. Or at least that was the case when I still played crucible.
