Can we have raids start in public areas again like Vault of Glass?
Remember back in the day, you could find a random in the VoG region..... sometimes they could help, sometimes they were utterly underleveled and got stomped by minotaurs.
Can we get a raid/raid lair like that again?
Kings Fall, Wrath & The Last Wish start their raid in what is normally a public space................ but converted into the raid entrance with no randoms. They would have been cool with randoms joining.
Crota's End was in the Hellmouth but a completely separate part you couldn't normally get to. Leviathan was never integrated into any map.
It's also not a bad way for a group of 4-5 people to find someone in game, as opposed to 3rd party LFG sites.

1 返信I never saw randoms when starting King’s fall or Wrath of the Machine, and I never saw people starting them in patrol either. I think they were private instances besides VOG

8 通の返信Is the last part of your post seriously suggesting that going into the raid with a non-filled team, waiting for some random in patrol to appear, and hoping he’ll want to join the raid is “not a bad way” to find a group, compared to an LFG site? You should get into comedy man, you’re killing me!

I was so incredibly underleveled and insisted I was going to help them do whatever this cool thing was....little did I know what it was. Later while I was doing it I would occasionally see a newbie stumble up super confused. I'd love to have encounters like that again.

It wouldn’t really change anything since the most people you can have in a public area without inviting is like 4-5 people. The only thing you’d be able to do is see the entrance of the raid from patrol and then glitch in like in Vog. Maybe that’s why they took it out of patrol areas.

Could you imagine seeing someone across the Hellmouth waiting for randoms to join? The Court being down when someone enters a king's fall? Helping a fireteam speed load the bomb-chinko machines for Vosik? ..... would've made things a mix of interesting, cool and annoying.

I was hoping the new raid would be this way. I remember once being on Venus and saw 5 people doing the raid. I just ran over and helped them get into the vault. Got an invite. Didn't join because I couldn't find my headset. lol. Now, no random invites. No messages. Nothing. Feels it takes away from the "social" part of this game.
