Please Bungie…. Place matchmaking as actual matchmaking for KD ratios on Trials. I cannot think of anything more pointless and lacking challenge than melting newbies who have never played before. I (and way other players) want to play similar ability players. The way it works now disgruntles new players and bores seasoned players. For those who think it’s great to just play people with a sweaty team and take an easy trip to the spire really aren’t competitive at all….. so go ahead and take your pokes at me you know I am right.

Nah keep it this way! Logged into trials with a flawless partner from d1 and D2 and two of our friends who occasionally play crucible. We got obliterated. It was one of the most memorable gaming experiences I’ve had. All four opponents had 4.0kds lifetime and >70% win rates! It was something everyone should experience at least once!
i won’t be playing that again
The issue is hardly anyone cares about trials anymore other than those that consistently go flawless, so you’re going against teams with good players that most likely are used to running stacked together. If they could somehow get people interested in casual runs like back in D1 (different armor and emblems or bounties), it might change the crowd playing a bit
