I've never gotten hate mail despite my efforts. Last weekend I was getting several "gg" and "nice clutch" messages though. We're is all this salt from the forums?

This game was mostly just me and then my point farmed teammate vs the three. I nearly gave myself a hernia trying to beat them nearly solo. Lost by 100 points. So I sent them all tailored gg messages. Two responded nicely. Then there's this guy...

Well in Destiny on my PS4 account, I was playing a Clash match solo with matchmaking just minding my own business. Normally in PvP when I see incoming radar readings and I'm by myself I high tail it because I'm never sure how many opposing players are there. Likewise I always wait for backup before making a move forwards just in case there's more than one foe so I don't get overwhelmed. Apparently some asshole on the other team can't understand this simple logic as he quits the match before it ends even though his team was winning. He then has the nerve to message me the following: "yall pussies for double teaming" I reported the message then later got an automatic confirmation by Sony they took care of the matter. As for any hate mail in any game, the worst would have to be an incident in Battlefield: Hardline on Xbox One. Some player shot me and another fellow officer to death during a Blood Money match, then acts like a complete schmuck by teabagging. Back then I took such things incredibly seriously so I immediately messaged him: "F-uck off." He replied in such a vulgar fashion that he does whatever the f-uck he wants and would r-ape my mother if he wanted to. The gloves went off after that before I eventually blocked the bastard. I've since learned to ignore such asinine behavior considering Microsoft banned me from all forms of communication for a whole damn week based on things I've sent to people. The best thing to do is report, block then move on, don't reply. I had finished a Rift match and, after getting 5 flawless spark runs, I recieved a message from the worst enemy player saying "F[i]u[/i]cking n[i]i[/i]gger f[i]a[/i]ggot kill yourself you stupid sweady bitch im gonna report you and hack u and kill ur family" #Rekt

You should see the people in dark souls. This is one of the most common messages you get there: Thanks for your ip adress. Im going to hack you now.

the only time I get them is Mayhem Clash/Control running defender with Suppressor grenades and Armamentarium. Then it's usually something along the lines of "no one called the fun police gtfo!".

Lol I love getting hate messages/messages after a game, its hilarious. A couple I got during trials last week were: After beating a team 5-0 got a message saying "We werent even trying, Nerds"... I replied asking why he felt the need to justify his performance to a stranger. After beating another team got a message saying" Sweaty Try Hard".... I replied asking if he just wanted me to dance in the middle of the map for him.
