"Well it seems our paths will reach different ends then. But until destiny forks away, we can still be intertwined. Certainly you can spare the company of another can you?"

"I have yet to earn that trust as well. But we both won't achieve it if we don't begin with companionship." He scoffs. "There is reason why I am called the Abysswalker. I have lived my life in the darkness, mastered it. I am the darkness."
-
"You are the darkness? Impressive, I merely adopted it. Although I think it's growing on me." Akron released a low laugh. The tone conveyed by it hinted at traces of madness. "But enough about me. What's the plan?"
-
"I would agree and discuss this more if we weren't in such a dilemma." Artorias continues to look around, until he uncovers at last a pathway shrouded in rubble and darkness. He sticks his hand in the air, triumphantly.
-
"A path. Clever, I have not discovered that yet." Behind Artorias Akron now held a shield and sword. He didn't have any sheaths to hold the weapons so their appearance was sudden. At the hilt of the sword was a red gem that dimly glowed with energy.
-
Akron looked down to the blade at the knight's notice. "This? Thanks, although it's barely a sword at that. Rather a literal extension of my body." The blade suddenly liquefied into Crimson and entered Akron's arms. It then came back out and hardened into a different type of sword. One mirroring Artorias's.

Artorias breathes deeply, looking at the dark sword. "You are quite exceptional, your skills especially, I see. Wouldn't be a traditional Knight in my homeland. Aren't allowed to use magic, you see. Just trained to be adept with the sword."
-
He spins the sword in his hand with surprising grace. "I tend to follow those values too, when I battle a fellow warrior. But here in a place where survival is the only law, you must do what you must. But don't worry, my land is very similar to yours. We may yet fully understand each other."
