I'm a 17 year old that has to make a decision that will influence me for the rest of my life. I've been put with the decision of amputating my foot. I prefer to keep both feet, but I don't know if I can. My foot is abnormally shaped from a clubbed foot surgery that went wrong. It's about a third the length of my left foot, and is curved inward. I walk on a bone that is on the front of my foot and is pointing out. My ankle got stuck in a recent surgery so it has extremely minimal movement, so I'm putting all my weight on a single point in my foot the size of a dime. Another option was to get a custom orthotic insert, which is being made. The problem with this is that I can't walk without shoes on. I also have the option is to cut off the part of the bone that I'm walking on, but there's a possibility of it coming back. I also hate the thought of amputating any piece of my body. I'm sorry for the long read, but I just want to get some others opinions on this. It's going to be the hardest decision of my life to this point, and I don't know what to do. [spoiler]You told me to.
