So many of these posts. Just comment on other stupid posts about the same topic. No, you don't have to buy these items, since they drop if you fill the candy bags. Also, these consumables don't lvl up your character for you, it speeds up the process for upgrading a weapon (which is already i the game for free) and gives you glimmer drops from killing certain enemies (which is already in the game for free.) As someone who has played since the start of year 1, I've got plenty of the glimmer boost and weapon upgrade boosts already, and I rarely used them. Quit whining about buyable consumables that have the smallest impact possible on the game. Only idiots would spend money for a consumable that is already in the game, and that already randomly drops on the game. Now for masks, fill your -blam!-ing candy bag and you'll get masks. These masks lower your light lvl when equiped, so i know i wont be using mine 24/7 in place of my raid helmet which gives my character actual stats and perks. Also, jackolytes are back and drop when killing hive, so go farm those if you care this badly about cosmetic items. Finally, I did buy one of the 900 silver packs for the legendary masks, and its honestly the biggest waste of money. Half of the masks dropped as petra venj (which i got from eva levante already, and which isn't for any of the quests). So yeah, complain abouy not having money to spend on legendary masks only to get -blam!-ed by rng. Quit whining, find another game, dont spend money, etc. Just quit making these repeat posts in the forums about how this game is pay to win, and how everyone should boycott a video game forever.

I wanted thriller. Bungie gave the thriller. I then proceeded to buy the thriller. I'm good with my purchase. I've already done the dance on my defeated crucible foes. It was satisfying.
