I don't think you understand, Bungie is Destiny, you can't just have another studio in charge, many of the things you see in it, are uniquely of them, no other group of people can create, or draw upon what they have drawn upon, as far as the main core of the game, such as the enemies, the lore, fundamental concepts, and game-universe technology

Sony bought Bungie for roughly $3.6B. That <usually> represents owning everything unless stipulated by contract that they cannot. So SONY owns the servers.. they own the laptops.. they pay all the salaries.. get all the profits.. and thought they can recoup and profit from $3.6B eventually (in some crazy business plan.. but lets be fair that may not materialize for... 100 years.) So assuming they own it.. they can strategize what is the best to make money off it. As they care about their whole company, investors and all employess under their purview... Anyway updating that DEATHPROOF is back at Petra :) but thx for your thoughts (it may indeed be the way you say... but what a tough deal for Sony then...) -
You forgot the part about no other group being able to steal intellectual property like them also.
